Hey guys I’m on the homestretch of a frame off on my 82KSA FJ45 Troopy, And getting the cold sweats about the slider window install.
Two concerns:
1. is there still a source for that dual Felt channel, I can’t seem to find one
2. How do you reinstall that glass? The only way I could get...
Thanks for the label reference. I have a more updated build thread in the 40 section

My shop is 30X40 with 12' walls at the eves, so I have room for a auto lift....mayvbe
Howdy, I’ve got two shrouds freshly painted and ready to install but for the life of me can’t remember where they went. I looked at all the photos I had and any literature I could find but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Sa-weet!
Im knee deep in my '82 FJ45 build and at first pass I was just going to do an "on the surface" resto. Watching your build encouraged me to do the full meal frame off - no where near your attention to detail but the best my skill set and budget will allow..
Thanks for the wonderful...
I continue to enjoy looking at this build thread. The work is outstanding and it is a great source for ideas and encouragement.
One question - I noticed all of the flat head screws seem to be aligned...... on purpose or happy coincidence......?
Sorry for the late reply, but I had forgotten that I started a build thread in the 40 section. I am updating that one with pix. more often.
Tech question however, it is completely stripped and I will be starting the axel builds soon. She is equipped with drums on all 4, is a disc conversion...
Today lacked the immediate gratification like removing fenders and bumpers but it was still very productive. Got both sides of the firewall stripped all the interior and All of the brake lines and wire harness out of the engine bay.
No turning back now. Most things came out ok but several bush repairs to deal with. The fenders and approns are toast. Much of the body work was spot welded and bondoed up. I think those shock mounts will need some love
Well I’m going in! I think a little RTV, and duct tape and they’ll be good as new ......🙄. It appears that desert water has been hard on the cooling system
Thank you for the motivation to get up to Blue Ridge. It’s been too long since I’ve been there, I brought the canoe and paddle about 2 miles in and set up camp. No fish to speak of and it was a little warm during the days but the evenings were absolutely gorgeous
