FJ45 rollovers and the need for a roll cage

It would be possible to build a OEM-like bed canopy using stronger material that would give some protection and not offend the purists too

FJ45 rollovers and the need for a roll cage

I opted for some limited protection outside the cab. So I built some protection between the cab and my smaller bed, then a rack in the bed that is beefy. One directly to the frame, the other indirectly. Used thicker tubing, etc. It allows easy transport of boats, lumber, ladders, mtn bikes...

Info on FJ45 side Tube Bars (Nerf Bar) Wanted

Might also consider Lcwizards side steps. Someone even I ncorporated the factory braces to the frame with these, which I imagine would hold up to lighter bumps. My factory running boards all had dents, I am very impressed with these.

FJ40 Floor Pan In An FJ45?

Started to do that but instead just used the metal from the seats of a couple FJ55s. Had similar pattern of parallel ridges that was close enough match for the flooring next to tunnel. Then used plain metal sheet for small patches along rockers. But I have plasma cutter and like welding. And I...

    Lpb rear tank

Anyone know of a tank that would fit between rear frame rails, maybe even above spare similar to fj55 models. Extra space under passenger seat would be created, and less odor?

Soft top kit for 45 pickup

the extended cab soft top option might have other uses. aqualu is making a extended cab but the fabrication of a hard top would be an issue. but a soft top.... I have a FJ55 chassis that is finished w/ ARBed FJ60 axles. The holdup is the rust bucket 55 body that will take countless hours...

Soft top kit for 45 pickup

has anyone ever tried a bikini top going from the windshield to the headache rack? I started to do this but decided the hard top provided more rollover protection than the flimsy rack. then started thinking of a more substantial headache rack made of heavy duty steel.... idea didn't...
