yeh the kiddies love to play in dads fj40. we will see what happens. its a shame to see it sit in the garage, we take the 80 everywhere, its not only way more comfortable but more importantly safer for the little ones.
Thanks ...there was a guy here on mud producing them (although I haven't see anything about them in a few yrs.) that I bought a set from. They are far superior for me than stock front door hinges, more stout and allow the front doors to come off and on quick and easily. ill post a pic in a few hrs

i had a dream of taking 3 months off and drive from florida to across the border into Mexico and down to Peru and back with my wife. The dream vehicle that could do it all in style is the fj40. After spending almost 18mo. reading everything i could find about fj40 & drooling over the fj40s here...
so... why refurbish a truck to this level and put the metal plating on the quarter panels as if you were trying to cover up rust holes.?? That stuff might be the shizzel in colombia but here in the USA it significantly decreases the value.
