We may have had the same guy! By golly he tucked mine right up to the cab though. He asked me to spot for him as he was backing on and I politely declined.
I sold my troopy on BAT and a shipper came and picked it up. He backed it onto the transporter and it certainly made me nervous. Those things are narrower than they seem and the shipper got real close to the open center channel with the wheels. All that to say, I wouldn’t be surprised to see one...
Can 10/10 attest to a 2H powered trakka only doing 65 (downhill with a tail wind). Wish I had the funds for this one. Someone will get an awesome rig. Buy it while you still can

Wish it was
Currently at 17k AUD with 4 hrs left. Someone bring it stateside!
Looks pretty clean for what it is

I would encourage looking at RHD to open up your options. My HJ45 Troopy was RHD and I was hesitant at first but it was not a big deal after about a 5 minute drive. The only thing I had trouble with was the turn signal stalk. For some reason I always missed it
Found on Craigslist in Richmond, VA. Sounds interesting but no pics.

If anyone gets pictures, please post them. Sounds like a pretty cool rig

For posterity:
I remember when it started popping up around Chattanoga (if it's the troopy I'm thinking of). I had a yellow troopy at the time and people would always ask about "the other one of these in town". Good luck with the sale. Seems like an honest price for an honest rig
No affiliation. Saw this on Atl craigslist but it’s located in Chattanooga, Tn
H motor, rust, but not an absurd price.

Good luck if you’re looking!
Much appreciated. I am incredibly surprised by the results and was honestly thinking it might not hit reserve, but it surpassed it by a long shot. Something to note is that the 2nd high bidder was FJ company. I'm shocked they would be willing to pay that high for something like this.
Sadly, I have put my Troopy up for auction on Bring a trailer.

All the gory details are in the auction but I am happy to give a quick rundown and answer any questions on here. I actually purchased it off Mud a few years ago and...
Any interest in a Built 97 Tacoma Rock Crawler?
Quick List:
4-cyl, 5 speed, Extended Cab
Dana 60 Front, 14 Bolt Rear.
Coil-over's on the front
Dual Cases with a twin stick and Inchworm clocker
R151F Transmission
40" MTR's
Needs some things but could be rad.
There's currently a 47 on Ebay that might give you a little bit of a base line. I think yours is in better shape, but always nice to see what people are paying.
Saw this thing on a semi-local craigslist and thought someone might be interested. No affiliation. Not a ton of details, but still a pretty slick rig (aside from the upside down bezel).

I'm looking for an HJ45 or 47 with a pop-top. I would like a Trakka pop-top but others would be considered. I'd also prefer a 47, but as these things are pretty hard to come by I'm not going to be super picky. I did just sell my FJ Cruiser and 914-6 so I am a cash in hand buyer. I'm in...
