Funny, that just happened to me last night. After a thermostat replacement and a heat core flush I was ready to roll it off a cliff. My brother noticed the cable to the diverter door was unhooked. Like in Mace's pic. He hooked it up and in five minutes fixed what I'm been dealing with for days
I dreamed of this swap last summer, even bought a wrecked fzj for it. I think the trans you need is the hf151. I gave up when I realized I was waaay over my head. It sounds like you could make it work. The cool factor would be way high. I think it would be decently quick. Good luck on what you...
Thanks for the info. I have been reading the drive line articles on Pirate trying to track down a vibration issue. It appears to be more complex that I first thought.
I think that number is for a 2F. What I did and have done in the past is to use a little spray glue on the pan to hold the gasket in place, but not too much so I could still move it if I had to. I've thought your not supposed to use RTV with cork. I like the idea of glueing it to the block...

Holy Cow! Imagine my surprise when a finally finished reading this thread. I had to post up the drive line question when I was at that part so I wouldn't forget. I had no idea what a cool turn your build would take me. You might end up with to me what is a perfect rig. As for the drive line I...
Dirtgypsy, how did you know your drive shaft was binding? I mean what were the symptoms? I'm just finishing my SOA and have a new low frequency vibration. Awesome build BTW
