might be to far out on your cut...
are u replacing the trunion bearing races.. slide a big bar thru them and rotate.. i had problems on an early 40s housing that had factor plug welds
definitely wheel spacers on that to make those rims fit...
I like it... if it was me and i bought it that way to daily drive it for haulin the kid around and that was it ... then why not have the cool look ...:hillbilly:
tow truck drivers will do the same thing.. except they will shove an inflatable bag at the top to the door sill to make a gap so they can reach in with a hook and pull the handle... or pull up the locking knob
i use the same bracket that the bench locks into ... i just cut a hole in the carpet in the back and the tether runs down the back of the seat and clips into the same bracket as the bench... have to put the child seat in the center of the bench though..
cheers
nice work... was wondering when you cut the rockers ... did you just leave it open or weld in some new metal.. before you put the sliders in? do u have a pic where you tied into the frame..
cheers adam
there is a glow plug relay on the drivers side fender under the hood.. right by the starter relay... glow the plugs and wait for the click from that relay.. u should be able to hear it in the truck... if it doesnt click then thats where i would start first...
what is your voltage...
i have the same problem... gone through two of those so far... PO said he pulled the dash apart.. so i am expecting that he didnt ground something properly... so i just ran a temp wire from the cigar lighter ground to one of the grounds on the dash lights and i have dash lights.. . still...
the brushes wore right down in mine... there was only the wire left on one side...
couldnt find bushes... so i took apart an old dewalt grinder at work that the head was broken on.. had good bushes and they fit perfect ... motor runs fine...
i had the same noise awhile back... when i bought my bj60 from the PO...
the problem was that he never torqued down the u bolts after he had put the lift in..
I torqued them down (which they were really loose) and the noise never came back....
if you order from the states .. use USPS like rockdoc said... if you have them shipped ups then they will screw you everytime on brokerage fees... as for parts.. toyota still stocks about 80 percent of oem parts for the 60s and they can get parts out of the states without a charge to you...
