I know he doesn't have high-steer, I'm saying it would be neat for him to do their flat or Mid-steer arms, not quite high-steer but in the middle so it will have the benefit of flatter drag link without the links hitting his frame at flex, and no more 60 TRE Springy-bois
how did you manage to bend that.
FROR makes the M23 inserts as a kit with tubing that you cut to length.
If you are willing to modify stuff I would go to their flat or mid-steer keyed arms and 80 joints everywhere. Have @GLTHFJ60 mill your knuckles. That way you'll be able get the tie rod up...
All of the connectors on that subharness are available new (I have them in stock) and could build a new subharness however it would be more expensive then buying from a used parts supplier.
1200 mile trip this weekend for ONSC Carolina Relic Run.. no issues at all other then two injectors becoming unplugged for some reason, and the turbo is still dumping oil. Nothing that actually required any wrenching on the trip.
I actually didn’t drive the truck at all on this trip, other than...
Mostly my 5-speed 530i I picked up back in October. Into the whole car for about $3k including wheels/tires, amp, Carplay head unit. Bought it with intention of boosted LS swap but will more likely end up doing that to a nicer example instead.
I haven’t heard of this before, interesting. I just chalked it up to bad luck, plus these bearings are super cheap, the only option out there is like $8.
Lastly was new wheels and tires, went with the same thing as before, Geolander Mt in 37x12.5 on 17” Toyota steelies. Had to get new rims since my last set was so beat up from rocks that the tire guy wouldn’t touch any of them.
Holy cow, soooo much better. Actually drives right again.
oil leak ended up being my shift tower which was loose from my previous repair failing, this time I time I welded the holes, used Time-serf’s and made paper gaskets.
aaaand we noticed the input shaft on transmission was super loose. Of course my NV4500 munched the input thrust bearing. :doh...
So I have done nothing to literally nothing to this truck since October when I fixed the brakes, and only driven it a few times since I picked up a more comfortable car to DD.
Even though I completely went through everything before my Colorado/Rubicon trip last year the truck really felt...
No concern as long as you are sure it's not dragging - just that sometimes it can seem like is not dragging because it is so slight. This will eventually heat up the front brakes enough to boil them. This actually just happened at my shop recently
Have you also verified that your rear drums...
It's off the CANbus. You have to wire in a relay to the OBD2 port. With something like this:
