Start first with your fusible links. Everything in the truck is powered by one of only three, and all of the things you just said don't work belong the same fusible link. I had the same issue

For the record, no. At least not how I read this. Think of a FL as a regular fuse that takes longer to blow. They aren't there to prevent battery drain.

Very nice detail and writeup. I followed these basic steps the first time or two I removed the head. Then I tried removing the head, carb, and manifolds all together and it worked great. Saves a lot of time if you have something overhead to hoist from
For your wiper, it's likely a bad ground. The motor is in the tailgate, which grounds through the hinges. Add a ground wire and see if it works. The washer motor is in the driver's quarter panel, so a bad ground at the tailgate wouldn't affect it
60 and 62 have a vss. But I second Turing the cable at the tcase and having someone check the needle for movement. Turning it by hand likely won't spin it fast enough to make any noticeable movement at the gage
