I bought my 200 for not much more that what i sold my 06 LX for. There are pros and cons to both but at the end of the day they're both nice vehicle and can't go wrong with either one.
100 looks better and drives better as in it's smaller and more nimble. Steering feel more direct and attached...
Try to spin the fan by hand, it should have a lot of resistance and you can barely get it to rotate one full rotation. If it's rotating too easily then it's gone bad.
What color and options do you have that you think is rare? When I think of rare color, it’s usually some weird color that nobody ordered since it’s so odd and thus it’s rare.
I was faced with this decision and ended up with a clean 2013 LX570. It’s scary how close they are and some 100s are even more expensive than 200’s.
OP, do it right the first time and find yourself a rust free well maintained 06-07. Hold on to it because it’s a special vehicle. Don’t chase...
Seems like I see more and more of 100 owners switching to 200 since the price gap is narrowing. I recently made the switch myself. Still getting used to it but find myself still missing my 100.
Unsprung weight esp from the wheels and tires has a huge impact on accelerating, braking, cornering etc... we were never able to calculate unsprung weight to static weight but it's something around 5x .. so shedding 52lbs all together you're essentially removing 250lbs or so off the vehicle.
I’ll be around the forum, and I’ll likely be back in another 100 someday. It'll always be my favorite SUV. i was actually looking at a 2007 LC before this one just fell onto my lap. 07 LC and 200 series are starting to overlap in price so i thought id give it ago. after i put a few thousand...
Look at the profile view of the victory 4x4, looks like it's a bit short and look a little odd. I prefer the Prinsu
Prinsu fills out the top better i think, it's the right length
I have replaced both rear lines for someone without dropping the tank or moving the muffler. It’s just tricky and requires a lot of cursing and snaking the line out. If you’re replacing the line then just go ahead and cut it out, don’t need to try to snake it out. Use the rubber bendy part...
I’m running 275/70/18 KO2 and is consider switching to the same size General Grabber ATX in an SL load. Ko2 weigh 57lbs per tire while the ATX is about 45lbs. I commute now so going back to ăn SL tire would be more comfortable and get better fuel economy
This is a good reminder for everyone, make sure your eBrake is operational, a lot of north east guys have theirs seized and it doesn't apply brake to the truck should your main one fail.
Buy the rebuilt assembly online, look on MUD to see if anyone can replace it for you, i've done a couple of these and took me 2 hours at most. If you were in Northern VA i could replace it for you.
This worried me greatly too when I took a cross country trip 2 years ago. I’m not complaining about the MPG as it is what it is, but the range sucked and my worry would always be running out of gas in the Midwest when towns are so far from each other. I find that fear to be irrational since...
