Been a while since I have been on mud but this popped up in my email. Is your 1HDT the 12V mechanical pump version? if so it's so simple there is no need to rewire with a new harness. Just take power off the existing ignition circuit. I did use an electric fan through a toggle...

wow that looks great, wait till you drive it, hitting 3rd will make you smile! with 4.11 gearing first is a granny gear, you can use it but just as easy to start out in 2nd
my x member is set down a little lower than yours but it looks like it is fitting nicely
does the rad clear...

the trans mount was custom made but the actual mounts I cant...

motor mounts, tranny mounts, how about the battery tray? probably will need to do a mod to the tray for clearance.
I have saginaw steering and it was close but everything cleared okay
Im using the 1hdt toyota pump running the saginaw box
didnt hook up the glow plugs...

I got my clutch bits from oz ---G&S, I remember the clutch was called heavy duty safari clutch but I went with the 275mm version.
A lot of bits and pieces were scrounged around the shop during the install

I knew I should of shot the mounts--i will post them
no rational for the fan but looking at the install there is good room at the rear and a little at the front but not much and I do like the placement as it does not look pushed back too far.
The fan is on a switch...

I need to get some pics of the nuts and bolts of it, mounts and crossmember and shafts---I have the drum brake behind the transfer from a European LC and am using the 80 series 1hdt power steering pump to power my saginaw pump
seems to work fine and had it in the forest today flexing...

well drove it home with mixed city and highway---60 and 70 is no prob
driving impression with 33's and 4.11 gears is that 1 is like a granny gear, 2nd is like a first...

I have one ready to go into my 40 but am toying with the rebuild idea--just mulling over costs
so the engine is rebuilt and the h55 new? should see ya for the next milliion miles or so:steer::clap...

yes I figured that ---would just show how much soaked into the head and the EGT should keep you from getting to the point to worry about that I suppose
