Looks well maintained. You didn’t mention when the coolant and transmission fluids were last flushed and maybe change the thermostat.
My 2008 Lexus LS460 with 165k miles just overheated on me due to a stuck thermostat. I had to tow it to repair shop and the plastic reservoir was a little melted...
I may be wrong, but the water pump and timing belt don’t stay with the engine...meaning if they changed the timing belt and water pump first and then realized that they needed to change the engine...would they actually bring the old timing belt and water pump?
Something is broken in the shift assembly that prevents the 1st gear to hold, but and I don’t know what. Replacing the entire shift assemly is a solution.
In the meantime, I push and hold the gear in place while off-roading but driving with one hand is sometimes a problem
Oh you can’t shift Transfer case into Lo? While car is on, Put transmission in neutral, then move transfer case from hi to lo. Once the transfer case engages, Then put transmission in gear like D or 2.
i always shift transfer case with transmission in neutral.
Mine won’t stay on 1st and goes back to 2nd immediately unless i hold it in 1st.
Here’s my notes from a year ago on the possible part
FLOOR SHIFTER ASSEMBLY 33550-60660 $500 new; $100 to $250 used. Discount Parts Monster
If the timing belt was oem, then I wouldn’t worry about this timing belt that’s 6 years old with 21k miles in mild Cali weather.
Drive it like you stole it and replace at 10 years or 100k. Or if you are in there replacing a seeping water pump, then replace timing belt
I should have said new from factory oem suspension from center of hub up to bottom lip of fender guesstimates.
The guesstimates were for factory oem suspension which sag over time. You are not factory suspension anymore, but you are at factory heights it seems.
I’m at 22.5” in front and...
You have a mishmash of suspension parts, so it will be interesting to see how they can handle the added weight of the bumpers, winch, and other extras that you will add.
Added weight is one of those items that causes people to experiment with various coil spring rates and shock diameter sizes...
Last year my steering wheel was off by like 20 degrees after an outing. I was due for a wheel alignment and the shop America’s Tire fixed it. I didn’t ask questions and they didn’t ask questions, it was a don’t ask don’t tell moment.
Sounds like a great scam. Pay me now for this stolen car and I’ll mail you pink slip later! Yikes!
im helping a friend buy a Prius listed on Craigslist. I call the guy up and he asks if I’m ready to buy. I say yes, but text me vin # to run a carfax. Click! He hangs up. Bunch of sleazebags out there
No info on the 6cyl, but There are two Tundras with the 4.7 V8 that surpassed 1M miles, so there are super high mileage trucks with the same GX470/4R V8 engine.
I just ordered the ome150pr10 10mm trim packer, so waiting to arrive so I can install.
Trim packer arrives while I’m on vacation, so it’s going to be a while before I install.
I’m looking to correct the drivers side lean after the coil conversion.
Im looking to add a 10mm trim packer to the rear. I’m seeing two types of trim packers:
(1) OME150PR10 that seems to fit on top of the isolator between the frame. Has smaller hole in center.
(2) OME80PR10 that seems to...
