Ok, let me put on my ex tire changer hat.
First, plugs are more for punctures than tears because the rubber of the tire has to squeeze the plug a little.
Step 1, put some glue on the tool pictured on the right by Mr. Norcaldoug and insert that into the hole and twist it around some...
I've got a water separator, then IR coalescing filter then regulator all at the outlet of the tank.
I think that the trick for water filters is that the air must be cool for them to work. Coming out of the pump, the water is in vapor form. If it stays in the tank for a while, it will cool...
I think that the problem with ridgid pvc used for plumbing is that if it cracks it will tend to shatter from the pressure of the gas. Like alot of things, just because it is commonly done dosn't mean that there are not unnecessesary risks involved.
Here's a flexible PVC air hose, and the...
I have bosch with bosch blades, bought it years ago and whatever it cost, it was worth it.
But the el cheapo with good blades may be ok also.
any jig saw with the cheap blades will not be much fun.
I think there is lot's of discussion in "outfitting" regarding this topic that you could search for.
My recomendation would be Ingersol Rand 1/2 impact (less than 100 USD), then the "el cheapo" version of everything else. Then, if you wear any of them out, you know what needs to be a little...
"flex tube"- rubber compressor hose. if you only use one regulator after the tee, you don't need a check valve, but if you want to use two regulators, one for each compressor, you would need a two check valves to keep one of the regulators from bleeding off air. I'm sure grainger sells check...
I think this is a home depot plumbing department part. You could do it with flex tube, such as a brass barb fitting or pipe (not pvc). I would only use one rugulator though, and watch the duty cycle on the pumps.
i use a 240 v space heater I got from grainger, something like this:

Cheap to buy, plus no fumes. This heats up my two car garage without any trouble, but you do need 240 to run it.
I have also used a fluke multimeter for many years with no problems. It falls into the catagory of one of the things that have been so useful for so long, I really don't remember how much it cost. Also, the 88v/a looks like a nice kit, and would find many uses in troubleshooting.
I have a IR 7.5 hp comressor and have never thought I was under aired. 5hp is about the starting point if you want to sandblast with a 1/8 inch nozzle. The big advantage of 2 stage is that the air tank runs at 150-175 psi or so. That way you can have some pressure drop in the distribution...
Although installing a 50 amp receptical on a 30 amp cable with a 20 amp plug would make the inspector upset, I don't know what would be the problem with running a 20 amp welder from this (in terms of heat) since all the components of the cable are rated for 20 or more amps and the circuit is...
Ditto all the previous remarks regarding messing up a nice miter saw.
However, an old skillsaw with a ceramic blade works ok for 1/8-1/4 steel tube, angle etc. And a jigsaw with a good blade (bimetalic?, I use the bosch blades) is great for sheet metal.
Here's a Baldor grinder that I found in a 15 second internet search.

Look at the wieght - 48 pounds. 1800 RPM allows you to put less heat into the work, allowing the sharpened edge to keep the...
ONe other thing, since the compressor is not really big, I would be careful not to run it at more than may 50% duty cycle. If the pump runs for 5 minutes, it should rest for at least 5 minutes.
Ok, so it runs the plasma cutter for 5 minutes?
The compressor has a pressure switch that will have either one or two settings. Most of the high dollar compressors have a switch two adjustments, one for the pump on pressur and one for the pump off pressure. A less expensive compressor will...
