Modification is my friend. Already have the wiring with individual relays. My HID lights I bought 8 years ago are behind on technology and have filled with water too. Thanks for replying.
That seems easy enough to do. My fenders are trimmed in front of the signals. Kept crunching them when I stuffed a wheel so cutting is doable. Thanks for the reply.
Give you an idea. Flipped and Flat SOA with leaf removed and TJ flares I put on today got tired of rooster-tailing. I also run 37s but they are bias super swampers. Not great for on road. Usually only run them in the summer for trails and so I fits in the garage. Your seeing 35s in the pic.
I ran that setup for a few years. It did suprisingly well both on and off road. The trick was balancing the springs so they flexed with similar characteristics. At first the rear was a lot looser/flexier and would make some off camber situations sketchy. Sometimes, if I was trying to pop up a...
Luck up dusty's thread on his 80. Not tubed but a great 80 series build. I helped a bit with it and it was shoot for the stars with nothing to spare or make shortcuts type of build...until he rolled it and built a Hammers comp rig.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to fubar the front angles too. I'm off by a few degrees but it doesn't impact driving unless I forget to tighten the bolts up after getting off the trail. I have to keep the front shackle bushing pretty tight and replace the bushings once a year. That's more out...
Take a look at my avatar pic and these below for articulation and ride height. I'm on my iPad and don't have access to other detailed pics. I flipped both my front and rear springs (rears are 60 series), did an SOA, cut and turn, out boarded the front springs, and stock flat springs with a...
I'm running stock flat 40 springs (outboarded for a 60 series front axle). My bump-stops are about an inch above the springs. The amount of up travel still stuffs the tires but gives me a lot of droop. Pic shows a bit of travel. I'll have to cycle the suspension with the sliders to find the...
I'm thinking of installing the sliders in place of my front shackles. I need to lower my front end a bit and have been going through bushing. my front hangers are a hair off center and I need to reinstall either new hangers to fix the geometry or try the hangers. Would anyone like to go into...
We can do it at my place so Dawn doesn't get mad. I probably have half your tools anyways. :whoops:
James, If you want to get in touch with Dustin, give me a call and I can get you his number. The man is very, very busy and unless your on fire, he has to deal with family, sick people, and...
Talked to him Monday or Tuesday night. Damage is just bad enough to not be fixable (glass won't work). I suggested zipping the top off off right below all the windows, make half doors, full cage, plexiglass windshield, and putting a flat sheet of metal on top of the cage for shade/safety. We...
You do realize it doesn't matter how fast our rig is....You will still have to wait for my slow ass to catch up. Maybe plan on bringing a good book or a cot to relax on. Might even consider some type of fold out entertainment center to catch up on movies. I would suggest movies that are along...
I stopped out and saw the progress in person. Looks great. What are you gonna do to protect the steering pump? It is kinda sticking out all by itself. Dawn said your dad ran into a problem with the designing. any word on that?
