I used a combo of 62 and 40 motor mounts. I recall cutting the metal overlap off the 62 mount to get it to move. And fan shroud still was off half inch or more. I can provide more input this weekend when in country. 62 mounts are offset, 40 are straight. I also used the 62 pass motor mount to...
I seem to remember using an off set mount from the 3fe on one side and a straight mount on the other. It dropped in with minimal work. I did utilize the stock 2f bellhousing motor mounts and later added the h55 transmission mount. So unlike others that used the 3f bellhousing, I used a 2f...
Don't remove the motor mounts off the frame. My 3fe dropped right in with a slight slot of one mount and some existing motor mount bushings I had lying around. People use graphite paint avail at farm and home stores on the springs.

I would start the search for a new front frame cross-member now. That looks like an angry beaver attacked it and took out all structural integrity. Saginaw can be invasive if done incorrectly. Can also be wonderful if done correctly. If you decide to go back with Saginaw, there are many options...
can you zoom in on this section? Looks like you might need a bit of frame repair for safety depending on what style of steering you plan on going with.
Step 1, put axles under vehicle, step 2, bolt bellhousing to engine, step 3 assemble clutch and flywheel, step 4 install transmission, in vehicle or on floor or in air, somewhere in there you set motor in chassis. Then clearance for the 5spd shift tower. 3fe's are wiring nightmares but not...
