If you route the wiring to the swing out spindle and then between the bumper and body you can access the harness plug underneath the truck that ties into the tail lights, turn signals etc. Or you can go through the back side of LHS rear quarter panel and tie into the wiring harness.
This shows...
Maybe the circuit that goes to your reverse lights? I know a few people on here have installed cams on their 70 series so some digging into IH8MUD with a google search should reveal something.
I didn't have a speed buzzer in mine, but I repurposed one from a 24v JDM truck and wired it up as "hey idiot, you left your lights on" buzzer. I like driving with my lights on in the day time, but for some reason I wasn't always remembering to turn them off. Now I have to be really dense to...
I think @c2dfj45 put Dobinson’s IMS on his troopy. Root around in his “a simple troopy build” thread.
If I didn’t already have the adjustable shocks, and they were not already “tuned”, I doubt I would go that route. Too much finicky adjustment, on what “feels” right or doesn’t. I’m very happy...
I should add, I’ve never looked into the Radflo’s and have no idea what they cost, so they may not be that much. They do ride great though. I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but it’s better than my 99 Tacoma with relatively new standard Bilstein’s.
No, you are not being overly cheap. That’s...
I don’t, they are one of the great things the PO did before I got the truck. I can probably find a PN on them, but I have a feeling they cost at least that much, or more. People have been very pleased with the non-adjustable Dobinson IMS shocks too.
Shouldn’t be a problem. I have the original Toyota springs in back, OME springs in front, OME shackles all around, and Radflo adjustable shocks. Rides sweet as. Spring rate and overall ride may be different between OME and Dobinson’s but shouldn’t present a problem. I do think that the...
Here ya go, maybe one of these will work for you:
@Bogan used a pinch weld + side bulb seal for his front doors and seemed pretty happy with this product

And I used this grey, u-channel pinch weld trim...
Merry Christmas Paul. I’m out of town for the holidays, but when I get home in a couple of days I’ll send you some uchannel pinch weld options that are available locally. I found some in gray that I was happy with.
I haven't looked at this thread in a long time, but I know there was a lot of detail in it. Installation is for a 77 series, but should be close enough to answer some of your questions.

You could try @ToyotaMatt (send him a picture of what you are after) or look at his site VintageTeqParts.com Home Page – VintageTEqParts.com - https://vintageteqparts.com/
He has a lot of grommets and cool random stuff.
If you decide you want to go the bumper/tire carrier route @Bogan has a very good one for sale in the classifieds.

That's a nice list of modifications you have planned.
For the 80 series alloys you will want a 1" to 1.25" spacer. I have the 17x7 FJC wheels and use a 1" spacer with 35x10.5 tires but would like a 1.25 to 1.5 for a little more clearance. I had to adjust my stops out a little to keep from...
