I have never met Joey but he has always seemed like a pretty straight forward guy. I understand how upset a lot of people are, and I do think someone with a cool head going to pay him a visit is probably the best and will get the best outcome. I also think it is a little underhanded to libel...
Yeah I do agree with you that getting the product to the people is important, and I think it sounds like you could do a great job. I think that Joey's kit had a lot of flare with all the branding, but there is room for a little improvement in the design. I was just saying that instead of...
I mean you can judge for yourself.
I have never taken someone's work, taken it apart used the measurements and then duplicated it on my truck no. I have paid full price for all of my bolt-ons. And my custom work is exactly that, custom because I don't like what currently exists. My turbo...
Well I am saying you could still make a J-pipe that would work for anyone that needs the hole filled in the market, that could also be a design that makes it more future proof and isn't deconstructing someone else's work. I disagree that design and engineering is 5%, but to each their own.
"If anyone has a kit I can steal the design work for and have them made..."
Look I have no dog in this fight. I make zero from any turbo sales. I know Joey worked very hard to get his kit put together. I think if you want to make your own J-tubes that is fine and you could even change the...
Hmm sounds like we need to figure out what is different in my setup compared to the Wits End setup. I know I did drill and weld a water fitting into my thermostat housing, I am also intercooled. But I have never seen temps even close to these.
Yeah the risk isn't the AFR it should be good, it is that usually you try and pull a degree of timing out for each pound of boost since IAT are higher, cylinder pressures are higher, etc. With the stock computer you don't have any control of timing, but if you have water/meth setup a decent way...
This is not advised and not supported by anyone involved with this kit. The lack of timing adjustment with increasing boost pressures puts the risk of detonation very high and the rods at risk.
The nomad valve body is just a shift kit, that they do the labor on. If you are mechanically inclined at all you can get the same results and save yourself the money...
He is taking a step back from mud to focus on getting orders shipped out and providing customer service. I think he kind of thinks that there are enough people here to answer turbo questions if they aren't directly related to supply.
