vinegar flush killed my china aluminum radiator. It's a shame that it is so expensive now to get a radiator recored. In 91' in rural upstate SC I paid $140 to recore the radiator on my FJ40. Adjusted for inflation that would be $319 today. I haven't heard of anyone mention a price of...

Make sure to sharpen up that shroud with a angle grinder before you finish......Wait I mean take the angle grinder and knock any sharp edges off before you finish. Nothing is worse than trying to do belt/fan/water pump work on a vehicle with sharp edges on the fan shround. If you cut out and...

I used a front wheel hub for a nissan Altima for my swingout bearing pivot ($30 for a pair on Amazon). You can make a swingout that holds your spare, 2X 5gallon cans, highlift, shovel, tow strap and only cover your right rear door so you can still access the back without opening the...

Can you point me to the post in the thread about your Tcase to 6l90 adaptation or solution?

I hope it all works out for you. I bought generic line sets/fittings on Amazon and it ended up being too cheap made in China without enough depth on the barb fittings to make a seal............many carquest and Napa auto parts stores are able to crimp fittings. Old experienced guys can crimp...

That's a beautiful truck. Really great the way your bumpers and sliders are protective and blend with the truck but not overly large................What springs are you running? I ask because your shackles are almost vertical like the springs are short/not compressed much. I'm running OME 2"...

The universal windshield washer kits on amazon are about $30 and are small and can be put where you have room.

Busy doing relic run for the next few days, but it is the generic electronic flasher from O'Reilly's auto parts. Only 2 wires . My factory flasher was replaced before by previous owner. So I had wires terminals to plug to not a factory socket.

You can g You can get an electronic flasher relay (not thermal) that will flash your turn signals in the normal rate even with LED. ...........That being said, does it really matter if they flash slow or fast? If it doesn't matter you can probably just use the flasher you have with the LEDs.

I had turn tail and brake in my bumper. I wired to that with my new bumper and lights. My reverse floodlight on the roof rack is connected to the left rear backup in the body. Toyota uses a 4 wire vs 3 wire tail light. If you use a 3 to 4 converter it will burn out if you are 24v. It may be...

Be carefully if you wire or rewire it differently as it really makes trailer wiring difficult.

That's a really beautifull truck you've got there. Your work is at a higher level than mine. I'm kind of a get it done functional, strong, inexpensive, and fast without worrying too much about how it looks. My work "works" about 85% of the time. 15% I have to go back and redo or fix. (but...

It's not a drop in/bolt in. I made it all work with scrap metal tabs and self tapping screws. Again I think it is too small.

I got mine on Amazon. Mine is about the same as the radiator, and I wish it was bigger. Mine is also too close to the radiator and there is heat bleed over . Bigger and decent gap is better than stacked tight.

On another note about the iron pipe. If it seems too "low tech" etc.. those cheap harbor freight pipe benders work well with schedule 40 iron pipe. They also work with "rigid aluminum conduit" which is schedule 35 I think. Not sure if you can get threaded aluminum elbows without access plates...

Did a 4BT swap some years back and of all things the hardest part was looking for hoses to adapt those semi-truck size engine side outlets to my stock system. I ended up using exhaust tubing adapters and iron pipe fitings to step up and down in size and change direction. You can make good...

Back in the late 70's in the days of big tall tires, super long U bolts, and 44"'s on full size pickups being the kings of the day, some guys would put in a "limiting strap" to keep suspension from extending too far. Chain, cable, heavy nylon strap, a variety of things could be done here. I'd...

If your shocks aren't long enough for "full droop" it will limit your travel. If you had really crappy weak shocks then theoretically it could pull them apart. My Monroe gas maticas are not long enough but are holding up fine. You can make longer sway bar connectors with all thread rod. If...
