for what its worth I was the guy who started the thread and ended up with arms from superior. I dont have the caster numbers but can say with a 2.5" it drives proper.
the arms are really well made could hold the truck up. they clear slee rods with no clearence problems, bushings dont squeak...
great looking arm, how much are they shipped her to US? what deg of correction do they offer? I went with the superior standard arms and have had great results. got them in 1 week no excuses and great CS. just could not wait on Delta, I have had my share of problems getting Delta products.
solid steel, again very heavy only concern is unsprung wieght and now the arms are so strong something else might break i.e. mounts in an impact.
I am out on the boat this weekend, when I get home will take some pics. not to exciting but here is a pic I saw online with the arms not my truck.
one note on the OEM bolts though, I did reverse the bolt on the frame side by the CAT. not enough room to get it out easy without going in or out on an angle to clear the CAT. mine is a 1993 might not be a problem on other years.
I saw that and yes its looks really really nice.. I would need to drive one 1st. never been a fan of the 3 link unless its for rock crawling. great flex for sure.. I mostly do more pre running style driving fast through the desert and always though the 4 link looked stronger.
used old bolts to line everything up then pulled one at a time replacing with new OEM hardware. supper easy install no fighting just some leverage in the coreect spots and in they went..
I was thinking cutting arm mounts and rotaing the axle with stock arms would be a good way to go. you can still buy stock oem arms from Toyota and get them in a day or two along with plenty of used ones. you would be able to set it up perfect based on your suspension and load, just need to have...
update on arms,
after hearing 4-8weeks to get arms built from Delta which was my 1st choice, my race car fabricator said he could build me a set but that would slow down the other parts he is building for me so decided to give Superior Engineering from AU a shot.
I had a couple of emails with...
Thats good to know.
for sure one of my concerns ordering from AU. Supperior said they have a set in transit now as well as black hawk but you never know..
thanks for your info on shipping.. one more reason to go with DELTA
this question was simple is anyone running Black hawk or Supperior radius arms and what info you have on them.. JMAX is another company's radius arms I am interested in.
not opinions on oem arms caster plates how strong alum is over steel.
start another thread for all that stuff. this is why...
OEM is no doubt good but they provide no caster correction other then offset bushing which I dont like or caster plates which again dont really want to go that route unless its a last resort.
count me in for one of your caster tools.. not sure I trust the align numbers the shop gave me. the springs from dobinsons were only supose to be 2.5" front and 2" rear.
after install with stock bushings and radius arms -2.8deg caster.. I did not check pre lift caster.
were you happy with the...
I had seen that thread, what I read into it was Blackhawk is saying is you should end up with +3.5deg after a 3" lift. going to try and pm the guys that were waiting on them and see what their thoughts are.
I need to correct aprox 6deg of caster on a 2.5" lift. slee not making them anymore and delta 8 weeks out.
two companies I am looking at as alt is BLACKHAWK and SUPPERIOR does anyone have these on their 80's? and how are they working?
