Tried to get one. Amazon says they ran out, "more on the way". Why can't I invent something like that.

I still think the best mod out there is the headlight buzzer thingy <---technical term. It was like 2 bucks. Should be cheaper now that Radio Shack is clearing out everything prior to closing up for good.

There is a 12V outlet under the dash on the passenger side. Closer to the door. Take a look. And I guess yes. Why not. But I would go with the suggestion posted above if you're looking for a more permanent solution. Be careful with the positive and negative side.

You all know this already, but just in case, this outlet was designed for a light (linear load) that doesn't care which side is positive or negative. Non linear loads (everythibg else, electronics, etc) do care. Don't ask me why I'm writing this. Luckily that's one reason fuses were...

This pic should help with the wire size. Looks like 10 gauge. And yes. That's a good idea for the hole.

Made myself a plug for the 12V outlet under the dash. 2.30 for the plug at home depot. 5.98 for the cigarette lighter style outlet.

It is epic. I always fly down and go to Penonome. If anyone goes down that way for carnaval, hit me up. I'll buy a few rounds.

Yes it was used. It has a small hole, but I don't mind. I'll put a hula girl or something to cover the hole. I had set an alert on eBay to send me an email when a dash mat was for sale and I jumped on it.

I got a hat for the dash. I got it from eBay for $15 bucks. The label says "dash pads". Fits great. I don't have cracks on the dash, and I want to keep it that way.

I started my son early and had him "wash it". Which means that he used the hose to his hearts content while I had a beer(s). Than he sprayed himself from head to toe, and me too. Then we put a water slide on the lawn. Good weekend so far.

I got some of those retro cup holders from the 80's from Amazon. $5.85 for two. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006IV81MO/?tag=ihco-20 I put one on the existing "cup holder" of the cubby. Now my travel mug sits secure and it doesn't fall. I put it on the window, but I kept hitting it with my...

Also, I only use it when there is no automatic holder. Which seems to happen everywhere where I live.

Nice. I'm in NY. And I've bumped my head many times because the door slams down when it's cold. Will try it. Thanks.

Ha ha. I have tried that. But it kept slipping on me. Plus I'm an electrical engineer, I have a need to complicate things. And the look on people's face when I do this is priceless, it's almost like discovering sliced bread.

A Quick Grip from the Home Depot. It's so Fu$&$ng cold up here in the NE. Now I don't have to freeze my hand when I fill up at the pump (most of the times the holder thingy doesn't work).

Such simplicity!!! I tried it this morning on my 60. Bill Gates said it best. He always liked to hire lazy people because they are the best at finding easier ways to do things.
