I still think the best mod out there is the headlight buzzer thingy <---technical term.

There is a 12V outlet under the dash on the passenger side. Closer to the door. Take a look.
And I guess yes. Why not. But I would go with the suggestion posted above if you're looking for a more permanent solution.
Be careful with the positive and negative side.
You all know this already, but just in case, this outlet was designed for a light (linear load) that doesn't care which side is positive or negative. Non linear loads (everythibg else, electronics, etc) do care.

Yes it was used. It has a small hole, but I don't mind. I'll put a hula girl or something to cover the hole.
I had set an alert on eBay to send me an email when a dash mat was for sale and I jumped on it.
I got a hat for the dash.
I got it from eBay for $15 bucks.
The label says "dash pads". Fits great. I don't have cracks on the dash, and I want to keep it that way.
I started my son early and had him "wash it".
Which means that he used the hose to his hearts content while I had a beer(s).
Than he sprayed himself from head to toe, and me too. Then we put a water slide on the lawn.
Good weekend so far.
