Post the video on YouTube then share the link here. That's the only way I've figured out how to do it. Happy travels!!

I know it's a while ago this was asked, but I just thought to look in the original Toyota sales brochure (in French!) that came with my 1987 BJ75 Troopy. According to that, the Poids a Vide (unloaded weight) is 2025kg or 4465lbs. So there it is. That's with a "regular" 3B--not sure how much...

With 170lbs of me and 1/2 tank of fuel, my '87 BJ75 came in at just over 4500lbs. That's totally empty, no rear seats even. Used the scale at the transfer station (garbage dump), since I was there anyway dropping some stuff off.

I was figuring both tanks with my range estimate. Main tank is 90 liters, so about 23 3/4 US gallons. I thought the same thing!

Holy smokes!! At 20mpg, you could go over 1500 miles before a refill. Pretty much 24 hours of driving. Wow.

Ah....I think by "hidden nut" Andrew means a captured nut under the floor for which a hole was not drilled (through the floor) by Toyota? I encountered a couple of these when I put the rear "troopy seats" in my Troopy that was not originally configured for them. I measured and figured out...

Hopefully I can be of some assistance here as Umpqua bought his Troopy from me. Here's the long, convoluted story on the front seats: When the Troopy was new, it came equipped with two bucket seats from Toyota, but by the time I took possession of it, the previous owner (in France) had swapped...

Had an opportunity to go to Portland, visit with umpqua, and see his progress on the Troopy I sold him last Fall. AWESOME!! What a nice rig! The 1HD-T is amazing--I was afraid that when I went back to driving my all original 3B powered Troopy that I'd become sad and despondent (and I kind of...

Wow...the bodywork is going to look great! Amazing what a difference it makes. BTW, sorry about the rear door--it was like that when I got it. Turns out it's not an original Toyota factory equipped spare tire carrier, so don't feel too bad about removing it. The original ones had an internal...

Looks great, man! Might have to look into doing that to mine, too. BTW, do I see yet another Troopy outside? You've got an infestation there.

Ha! I know what's in the box. But I have insider information. It's pretty effin' cool, I'll tell you that! Not gonna spoil the secret, though, I'll let someone else get the free beer this time.

Glad to see this build thread start! Looking forward to the progress. After driving this Troopy across the USA with its original 3BII (which ran great, BTW), I can't imagine how much power the 1HD-T would give in this application. It will be fun to follow along with the build.
