Just about finished up with another 5.3/4l60e into a FJ62 we did this one in just about 2 weeks (8 full shop days). Going to make a few more parts so they can be even faster. Inching closer to full 100% swap kit.
Most of the GM transfer cases are driver's side front output and centered rear output. The Cruiser case is also a lot more compact and doesn't hang down as low.
Not mine… but I wish!
Few more combos built..
Rebuilt 4l60 and FJ62 T-case shipped out to a customer for his 5.3 swap.
And a rebuilt 6l80e, brand new Vacuum-shift case with 10% OD high-range for a build we are doing in-house with 80 axles and coil springs.
I have Fox Proformance series, I would have to dig up the part number. I had the rears custom built by Accutune and the fronts are off-the shelf. But I have completely custom mounting points everywhere
And on my own 62… In preparation for a big upcoming trip in a few weeks I yanked my 5.3 to finally fix my long overdue broken motor mounts (from my wreck in early 2021). Cut all that out and welding in my Gen 2 Cruisermatt Mount kit. :)
Also swapping to newer gen NV4500 bellhousing, hydraulic...
Took our latest swap project for a test drive to the car wash across the street… first drive for this FJ62 in 12 years! 6.0/4l60. Will post up some engine bay pics when finished. And maybe a build thread when it gets the coil swap next year.
Not my 60 but so haven’t really worked on my own in almost a year :(
Fixing a pile of new AA adapters for swaps in the shop.
NV4500, 4l60, and 6l80e… 6l80/FJ62 products coming soon.
