Full tank of gas at the time. It was sputtering out. Not hot. AFR was jumping from 10:1 to 20:1 erratically and started bucking. Pulled over and it jumped to 35:1 and engine died.
Turned off power. Turned on power. Could hear the pump barely kicking on to prime. Pressure only came up to 25 psi...
@wngrog have you ever had an in-line pump from the sniper kit fail? Mine took a dump and stranded me in the middle of nowhere Colorado today. Trying to figure out what caused it. My theory is this: I’m running 3/8 soft line from the tank to the in line pump and up to the sniper. I’m running the...
I’m interested to know how that red head steering box handles. I did mine in the garage a few months ago and I can’t seem to get the slop out of it. Either I did something wrong putting it back together or it’s a bad unit. The truck wanders like crazy ever since I messed with it.
New axle into new bearings and new gears? How about a love tap with a dead blow? I had a similar issue on my rear end. After weeks of chasing it a gentile tap was all it needed. But maybe double check everything first.
I’m really not sure. I think it’s probably internal since I’m pushing 185,00 miles and have yet to do any internal work on the engine. But I see no signs of it otherwise. I do have a small leak somewhere close to what you were experiencing.
I’ve got a similar leak somewhere. I had it all apart when I installed my 5 speed last winter and I couldn’t for the life of me find its source. It never leaves a drop on the ground. I just drove across the country and lost about 2 quarts of oil. I can’t figure out where it’s going.
