before you start grinding, run with your front driveshaft out and see if the noise is still there. I know 90% of mine was grrrrr from bad pinion angle and a pissed off driveshaft.
once i removed slee's plates and pressed in slee blue bushings using LT's template, i now have plenty of clearance from the tierod and the arms.
Not bashing the plates, just saying i was over-corrected IMHO.
I put the front end up on jack stands, turned the wheel clock to clock and used a paint marker to mark the arms where they were hitting. Then removed and ground them between the two marks. Put a little rutoleum paint on them to keep from rusting.
Mine were touching with slee's plates. I had a bit too much caster IMHO for my lift height but it sure tracked well. That metal is real tuff and i had to grind for a while to get it right. I'll post some pics when i get home as they are on my home PC.
