Saharabeast,
Looking good mate, really like it in white. Another Perth guy is doing one in white also.
Interested to know how the 37's go. I don't think it would take very much, but due legalities in WA, I won't bother just yet. Are you making up the bar flare pieces?
Keep the pics...
A couple of additions added to my rig of late.
Diff Drop, as also discussed previously in this thread and as below:
https://forum.ih8mud.com/200-series-cruisers/567770-200-series-front-diff-drop.html
Added Rear Drawers and Barrier (Black Widow)
Fitted EGT Probe/Gauge (pre Turbo) with...
Will look forward to it, I think 37's would look almost perfect for balance and bigger for some extreme work. Diff drop needs to be the next mod to make this happen though. Have you guys started to look at this yet??
42's would be sweet! But I'm not ready to turn a 100K truck into an offroad only toy:crybaby: The NCOP in Australia will soon rule out even 35's (mine is covered). Arctic Truck also only do 35-37's on 200's, you won't/can't go bigger (check their site and a 200 up close) it's not solid axle all...
Youtube upload from my mates Iphone.

Gives you a good indication of what a Taipan XP sounds like also
I used a low adhesive polyurethane tape (3M product), Glass comes off well and the tape comes off the car well also. Light coat of wax will help if a tight spot (I didn't need it). Only issue with it, if a hot batch it bubbles a little!
JB,
Does it by about 1" (with Rack on).
Another reason to rule out 37's though :D, or at least use that excuse to justify it to myself, as I'm used to the 35's already:p. It wouldn't take too much more to do, must resist:bang:
Hi Nan,
No template, not really needed as they line up well, you can't go wrong (famous last words:lol:). I can provide you with more detail/photo's etc also, if you go down this path, just let me know.
Email Renir (Fjallasport CEO) his details are in this thread. Yes, very little info for...
They are tough, but I would guess I'll eventually break them (easy enough to fix/paint again). Tapered above the bar would be the best option, but as the tyre stick out to the flare any reduction (the taper portion) would make it illegal herel.
Yes has 2-3" lift (Airbags are only inside springs to maintain lift with additional weight on). I had to pester Toyota a fair bit, doubt It would be that easy again, they are very tight on info etc, I only did it to keep the RTA happy.
RTA, all OK. A new NCOP (national code of practice) allows for 50mm tyres over OEM. I have a letter from Toyota allowing 33", so 35" now all good (letter covers ABS, ESC etc also:bounce2:, another requirement).
I modified front Bump Stops (slightly longer/softer), added Air Bags, that's about...
NO, All from Fjallasport (just down the road from Arctic Truck). Better Flares, way cheaper and will deal with you. Arctic want your Truck in Iceland to do the Mod (just a little bit far from Australia!!!).
They do use Arctic Truck Wheels, but FJallasport organise these also. Prices are good...
Finished off the Bar add on's today (just paint to do), started with just the cut off profile and needed to build each side (set time each side, about 2 Beers ). Note the white tape, handy little accessory, as seen in the cut pic's (will get to that).
You can see the inner guard...
No, Aircraft Engineer (but have done some s/metal work, could not earn a living from my Tin skills though!).
This rework was simple enough, all cuts etc were primed/paint protected.
Below is the rework from the cut photo, then inner trim fit giving about 3" more clearance from original guard...
Sbly,
NO issue at all with the 35's:D:D, I could have fitted/run them with only minor mods on the street. I had a good lift, so with the wheels/increased offset, good to go. I went the extra so no issues under full travel off road.
Handles great on road (hard to tell the difference), OFF...
No contact with the correct offset. Rework of front and rear as photo's show (could get away without rear work, but I wanted full articulation).
37" just won't fit:crybaby::crybaby: I'm happy with 35" I think the truck is now perfectly in proportion and works as it should.
