I'm actually a big fan of Water Wetter. Up until last summer when my engine started running on the warm side on the hottest days (due for a flush and water pump I suspect) my engine would warm up noticeably quicker in the winter months and would hold temperature very well year round. Heat...
Yep, a gas strut conversion. I did a writeup about it a few years back. My original struts are getting weak and need to be replaced, but at $40 for the pair and lasting several years, it's definitely worth it to me. I use 120lb struts and they work great.
Interesting. I really dig the look of it with the vinyl padding removed. What weave did you use? Looks different from the "grip it n' rip it" style I went with.
Great idea, but make sure that light isn't on for extended amounts of time. That 7805 is a linear regulator, meaning whatever load (current) is put on it, any excess will be dissipated as heat. So figure you're pulling 500mA (half an amp, just to use as an example), that's 6W that the regulator...
I got the idea and followed the same stitching from this Instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Paracord-Storage-Tangle-Free/
The starting ends I laid an extra 4" or so along the wheel and just started stitching away, wrapping the excess along with the wheel so there wouldn't be any...
Hand stitched steering wheel wrap out of 550 cord.
Didn't take the opportunity to measure how much I used but it was somewhere in the 40-50' range for the bottom section, and I would guesstimate 90-100' for the upper. The sections are wrapped separately and I stitched it so that if it's ever...
Wow, didn't expect to see such an old post from me to be resurrected
Short answer is yes. They're the same bulb (194) as the OEM ones, just with colored glass instead of the green condoms over clear glass. I've long since switched to red LEDs though, which are much brighter (if you want...
2" male threaded to 2" female slip adapter, 2" male slip to 3/4" female threaded adapter, and 3/4" male to 5/8" barbed male brass fitting. I'd get the stuff at Lowe's, since the 2" threaded adapter fits the Scepter way better than the 2" adapter from Home Depot. With the Lowe's parts I was able...
Got the idea for this one from another forum, so I can't take credit for being the original :D
$30+ for a Scepter spout? Nah. How about less than $10 worth of plumbing parts and a little good old fashioned ingenuity? This also lets me easily use an extra long hose so I can comfortably fill my...
Neat! I've been curious to try anodizing stuff at home, just for the sake of learning about it. Those hub covers and knobs are a prime candidate to experiment on.
Did you just lightly sand the raised text and arrows afterward to make them stand out?
