I do believe 70’s are 3.65” bs, the same as a 60-series. It’s all about the backside lip of the wheel hitting the tres. Anything in the 3-3.5” will work fine. Less will work too it will just look funky and may rub under max compression.
Have you not considered a bling wheel like a Raceline or...
Years and years ago I used to struggle with them. Not so much now, they are simple actually and fairly idiot proof.
GM sensors are cheap, monitoring the engine with a ScanGauge is easy and affordable. Aftermarket support is nearly limitless.

Yes with new springs and all weight in it.
if you are willing to cut off the leaf perches and weld on new ones it can-will make it all easier. You can set diff pinion where you want then. You still want to set it up the same way though.

So I suggest you set the tcase rear output the same angle the rear diff pinion is at. This being with the truck fully loaded up with how it will be once done. This will allow for a standard rear driveline and no vibes.

I had the Ranger in an FJ60 behind a ramjet and in front of the factory 4spd. I loved it.
A GM auto will certainly solve any probs as well, you can use a variety of shifters. I like using an FJ80 shifter for a 4spd GM auto.

I like to keep the V8 swaps as far back to the firewall as possible. Most the adapters (Marks) puts them to far forward in my opinion. Keeping it as far back as possible usually makes for no issues with pan to front axle and allows the use of a mechanical fan.

I ran the Ranger in an FJ60 behind a ramjet v8 and in front of the h42 4spd.
I absolutely loved it in that truck for on and off road. Split any gear, hard to not like that. I don’t think I ever found a time I didn’t like it and I did all kinds of wheeling in that truck from high speed dunes to...
It’s on the Advanced Adapters site. It’s been around forever. It allows you to mate the Toyota trans to the v8 and it is also a splitter box. So it will split any gear. You turn the H55 into a 10spd.
I had an FJ60 with one behind a ramjet v8 and in front of a h42. One of the most fun trucks I...
