I say 37s are still the limit for yota axles and the Hummer wheels just put them over the top.
Get a used set of wheels and tires and save for a 1ton front to match the width of the 80 series axle out back.
I'm sure one of your Texas neighbors will let you try on a set, someone down there must...
If you keep your steel beadlocks for wheeling, why worry about getting beadlocks for street driving?
KMC wheel makes a nice aluminum beadlock in 17-inch.
Yeah, I'm racking my brain on the passenger side, why the wheel and rotor are not parallel, but I remember it looks just like your driver side not so long ago.
Where is that broken stud from?
The driver side looks like it could be your trunnion bearings. It's a little harder to tell by lifting...
It's not TX hot here, true enough.
Curious to see your report as things cool off.
As the Porsche club gets to know you, you'll all look back at your son's comment with pride and joy.
Way to make an impression!
Let's check a couple things:
Next time it heats up, squeeze a rad hose, is it super hard, like, harder than a basketball, or bike tire?
Once its cooled down, like, stone cold, squeeze the hose, is there pressure? Open the rad cap. Is there residual pressure excaping as you open the cap?
I ask...
I understand your resistance/hesitation to tinker with pump timing.
For reference, my 3.9L 4cyl turbo diesel runs cool all the time. With my foot on the floor at 80+ miles an hour the temp gauge reads about 1/3rd. I can run AC in traffic and I never have to think about engine temp. I DO watch...
Collaterl damage has yet to be seen, don't get him all spun up just as he is shipping out!
^^^ Glad you made it to the shop safe. Perfect timing on the hub swap, as it seems the front end will be coming apart anywho.
