    FYI, for lifting/hoisting, a vehicle winch is designed for minimum 25% of it's rated capacity. So if you have a 15K winch it should lift and the brake should hold 3750 lbs. Over that and it'll work until it doesn't lol.

    Agree on just a thin film of grease. Slightly off topic, but I have found a magic bullet for some of this stuff where grease is too thick and oil will run out is using John Deere Cornhead grease. It's pretty amazing stuff. It will replace gear oil or grease, but won't leak out. By the case...

    Boy they're proud of that grease! I buy Kyodo-Yushi grease for that price. You can almost get Kluber for that.
