Yeah? There's just a lot of accessory bits and pieces that need to be changed as well. I'm already firmly down the path of staying the same mild build. The longer IMS shocks will be exchanged. No breaking trail in the snow for heeps for this guy.
See, this is the exact thing that has me in a pickle right now. I was just (the last week or so), going through the mental list of parts on hand that I could install. I ordered Dobinons IMS shocks last year during the Nov. sale. I thought I maintained sound judgment and ordered the 0-3"...
@Carey322 Thanks. I can say pretty definitively that I will not put my rig on 40's. Here's one odd thing I found. I was trying to do some more spring research, so I was looking through the Tough Dog website. I placed all of the vehicle info into the required bars, and since I am thinking 4"...
How much actual lift are you guys running? @Feldrian @Carey322 Are you both at just the right spot where the 4" arms are a degree off or some weird crap like that?
If I go to a higher lift, it's all of this component swapping I would love to avoid.
That's an interesting problem. You're going to start folks on a trend of monitoring under truck temps now. The words boiling and gasoline definitely seem like words that should stay far apart though.
@torfab did the louvers? Or are they in cahoots with and old-school hotrod shop? It seems like all sorts of local folks got out on the trails last weekend. I was in Port Townsend for my wife's birthday.
@baldilocks had given me a tentative invite as well. I never followed up as I was only a maybe for 1or 2 sections. My schedule has been garbage, and I just had a family vacation in late July. It's definitely a run I would like to do. What do you guys think the overall trail conditions would...
@Dusten sorry, that was a bit of attempted humor from left field regarding your statement of having more track day car buddies than wheeling type. Hense the studded tires comment.
Fingers crossed for @Feldrian. The interior and exterior of his rig do not "match" quite yet.
This looks like it was both a good and bad outing. Good to be out in the woods, but bad from a time spent idling and chopping wood viewpoint. I think my truck would have been a hindrance with those conditions. I'm only on 285's. Perhaps someone who drives a mild 80 series could chime in with...
Jeezus M, I hope the beer drinking went without incident. I think I need a monitor calibration or something; inn the above screenshot, the Grey looks darker than the Dark Grey.
Hey. Did you look into any pipe strap products for your rock lights on the sliders? There are a lot of galavanized options. I only ask, because I've had both good and bad luck with zip ties in that type of situation. the rubberized stainless ones might not be available in a big enough size...
I may have put my foot in my mouth a bit tonight at the meeting, it came from a place of envy. Anyway. All due respect. This is an awesome build. To hear that exhaust note coming out of an LX450 is pretty amazing. If I had the cash laying around, I may not do it exactly like you did, but I...
