    You might want to rethink the 1.5" ram. I put a 1.5" ram on the brown 60 and barely noticed any assist in normal driving, slightly better in the rocks. Surplus Center has good RAM prices. Discount Hydraulic Hose.com has a good price on R2 hydraulic hose and reuseable fittings.

    I keep forgetting you have a build thread. Will check in more often. Glad I got to stop by and check it out in person. Matt is a 21 yr old college student that has accumulated an amazing amount of knowledge and skills in a short amount of time. AND is accomplishing it all on a tight budget.

    Very well thought out and great work!! Can't wait to see it. Good call on mount at center of the tranny. It's amazing the number of experienced truck builders that outbound their tranny mounts. I find myself double clutching with the NV4500 too. Makes for smoother shifts.

    You could apply the same theory to the gear as you did to get your punch out. Find a piece of tube or pipe that slides over your tailshaft but butts up against the gear. Tack weld pipe to the gear. Weld end with nut on the other end of the pipe for your slide hammer to attach. I've been in...
