You shouldn’t need to do anything special for the oil pressure if you’re using the Toyota sender (unless you accidentally removed this wire) - just extend the existing sender wire to the new location.
Push button overdrive is a function in the GM Connect & Cruise (and guessing EROD, which is what they would have used) system with the separate transmission controller. There’s an wire for a ground signal that you can run to the switch on the shifter.
Don’t know if it is available if using a...
-‘94 LC, new LS3 (2018)
-I did the swap, for a customer
-The harness is part of the GM Connect & Cruise Package. I also use (and have a good working relationship with) Howell harnesses. I would probably use one of theirs over the C&C next time.
Out of curiosity, what did it drop to? Any lean codes?
Did you keep the stock hard lines or run new 3/8?
I kept the stock pump on the LS3 swap I did, and it ran great in all conditions. No codes or felt loss of fueling. I did not monitor the pressure though.
AC: connect old fan clutch wire (+) to new fan clutch. You’ll probably need to add a ground. It will work as it did before.
AC w/elec fans: You need a fan controller with an AC input. You want the fans to run any time the AC is on.
I slotted the two crossmember bolts 1/2” toward the front get a little more room between the heads and crossmember.
Also ditched that section of AC hard line and came straight out of the firewall with the new one.
Also pretty cool that I could see the Cancel OD button and B Shift Calibration working through the transmission controller software.
I only opened it up to enter the tire size & gear ratio. I don’t know enough to improve the shift points... but if I did, I’d play around with the B...
Gear indicators work!
Also removed the (flashing) OD bulb, and moved the previously unused “Power” bulb (no switch for that on this ‘94) to the burnt out D position.
Park/Neutral safety is also provided by the DD unit.
Anybody ever have an issue with the OD light in the dash flashing? This one flashes steadily on/off every few seconds.
The GM Connect & Cruise has a ground input for an OD-off, which I connected to the button on the shifter & works great, and makes the light stay on as it should. It could be...
