I gave the blue 'Cruiser some love -
Hadn't had a bath in months. It was due. :D
Now to take it for a bit of a trail ride over Thanksgiving......
Quite alright!
Probably ought to be careful who I make that joke with anyway......
Anyhoo, nice to take the Pig off of DD/pulling trailer to Trials Event duty ( at a whopping 58mph) and re-assign it back to off-road fun duty! :D
Used it to.......go get it's replacement as a Daily Driver!
Now maybe I can get some real work done on it without having to rush to get it re-assembled by Monday morning! :hillbilly:
Finally got the rear window unstuck. The PO's "Land Cruiser Specialist" had removed/trashed the rear window channel during it's "restoration" (lots of Bondo, thin-yet-still runny paint, among other horror stories), and run the rear window all the way up jamming it up against the body. :mad...
Oh, I vote for the Cummins swap. That is actually my first choice over the 360 swap I'm considering, I just don't have the Cummins lying around. You are already ahead of the game. Go for it!! :D
So how the heck do they register pre-fab (I hate to say "kit") street rods, or custom cars in Hawaii? For that matter, how do they register tube-frame buggies? Chopped-top VW baja bugs? Custom built Choppers that have not one single solitary Harley-Davidson part on them? You can't tell me...
Got tired of looking at the dried-up, shriveled and cracked glovebox cover, so I had a friend at a machine shop cut out a cover out of some scrap aluminum plate we had lying around at work. I bolted it up to the stock inner plate, and bolted up a discarded rack-mount instrumentation computer...
I used one of the Pigs to....bring home the new floorpans for the other pig!!
And bring home some Trials bike handlebars also, evidently.
These are really nice replacement floorpans from Bob in New Hampshire. If you are not familiar with his work, see "Floorpans +" or "Winner of floorpans"...
