That movie looks great!
Is the GoPro mounted on a gimbal? When you turn with the truck, it appears to move on a different axis than the truck so it looks more smooth rather than with the sharp turn of the truck, or is that part of the editing process?
Also, I cannot believe how clear that...
I guess sine you're going 3-link, that places a link directly on top, which would be hard with a set of Rockwells.
I am just amazed and the amount of energy expended in this. I wish I was young again..........and had more resources to do what you've done, even if has been done 3-4 times...
I have to ask........with as much trussing and such as you've done here....would there have been a real benefit to going with a set of Rockwell 2-1/2 Ton axles or planetary axles?
Yes, the rear link brackets. Shouldn't they be equal with each other? I know they don't need to be square to the crossmember. They need to point to a converging point in front of the truck, but I would think they should be symmetrical about centerline of the truck.
The front links for the rear axle that you have just tacked on in the pics on the new crossmember.
It looks like the right one is closer to perpendicular to the crossmember than the left.
I was looking at the new front links you have tacked up and it may be the lighting, but it looks like the right one is more "square with the world" compared to the left one. The left one looks like it points OUT more. Is this intentional or a "work in process" kind of thing?
I'm amazed by all your pics of wheeling and yours is the ONLY truck WITHOUT a boatload of body damage and the fact that it doesn't have an exo on it. That says a LOT for the operator!
I think it's time for the "BOB".
I know you've resisted it for years, but that's what you're REALLY talking about here.
Shorten/remove the rear windows and move the tailgate forward 18" so the rear tires are actually exposed beyond the plane of the rear of the body. That way your exit angle...
Not only did they change your truck, they took your property of the photo and used it for their advertisement. They may try to use "public forum" arguments, but I would definitely push the issue.
Ummm.. maybe no one will notice....
Let's pick the most modified 80 on the most popular website...
Since you'll be there eventually, why not just chop it to a truggy now? :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:
I chuckle at how you get it to the next awesome level, then push it again. At what point will it no longer be able to be driven on the road? Not being a d1ck, just asking a serious question...
So, some questions:
1) What is your total lift (VS Stock)
2) How does it drive on-road?
3) Let us know how it drives off-road (LOTS OF POSER PICS!)
Looking great Jose! You've taken this thing a LOOOOONNNNGGGG way!
