Sometime back I think I remember seeing a list of RPMs at 50mph, 60mph etc with stock tires. I wanted to compare that with what I have. I know I will need to adjust for my tires that are a little taller. Does anyone have such a list?
thanks,
I have a gasket leak under the front water bypass on my 2000 LX470. I have a new front bypass, gaskets and a new water inlet. I plan on removing the throttle body to get access.
This new OEM water inlet has a pre-installed black gasket attached to the water inlet surface (photo). I have only...
I think I know the answer and it probably is yes.
I replaced the rack and pinion several months ago(OEM replacement). At the time, the lower steering shaft seemed to be rusted solid under the plastic boot. Weird, because this rig has been garaged almost every day of it's life.
Is that supposed...
Well, 19 years and 230k miles later, I have the dreaded combination meter noise from the dash. I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 min but no joy, the noise came right back. My junction box has not been replaced based on its numbers. I read through several of the posts related to...
2000 LX. I replaced my rack and pinion last weekend w/ OEM on an LC. About that intermediate steering shaft that connects to the rack and pinion (in the engine compartment): Part 45203-60090 on an Landcruiser. Is that part collapsible to accommodate the install of the steering gear or is it...
Dilemma: I started w/ a 2000 LX and removed the AHC, putting in takeoff LC TBs and tired rear coils. I went to 285 tires. The rear kept bottoming out so I put in OME 865 rear coils and lifted the front to get that 1" rake to the front.
This lifted it considerably from where it was, especially w/...
2000 LX470. Stock w/ LC torsion bars, tired LC coils and 285s. About two years ago, I put OME 865 rear coils on it and it raised the rear about 2". My sub five foot wife said no go (its her car) so I took the 865s out and put the tired LC rear coils back in.
It bottoms out in the rear pretty...
Where can a regular joe like me get replacement boots for the stock ball joints on a 2000 LX470? Getting ready to do a wheel bearing service and the boots are torn. A lot of miles, 205k, but garage kept and not offroaded. I'm not feeling any play in the ball joints.
Recently the dash lit up like like a Christmas tree w/ the annoying whine. ABS, Atrac, 8 track, half track and other lights came on. The power in the power brakes became intermittent then died completely. The booster motor at the bottom of the master cylinder was not working. 15 years...
I have a 2000 LX470. About 1 1/2 years ago, the ECT power switch quit working which was a bummer because I liked the peppier acceleration. My wife didn't notice, go figure. About a year ago, I had the trans rebuilt. I just got around to replacing the ECT switch and plugged it in. The second...
Getting close to pulling the AHC off of my 2000 LX470 and want to get the parts together for a low budget swap. Looking for free or low cost OEM torsion bars/rear coils to put in. Still debating on OME coils for the back. Possible pick up if you are in near Orange County, CA.
thanks
Tom
I have a stock 2000 LX470 with 182k on it. I am the second owner. I recently bled the AHC fluid and added 4 turns to the front torsion bars. The ride is much improved. I am waiting on the delivery of the Techstream software to fine tune the suspension.
After bleeding the fluid, I was in...

Tom
I need 100 series OEM torsion bars and rear coil springs, take-offs okay. I have a 2000 LX470 and am ready to remove the AHC.
