I have an early 99 and bought the 80 amp alternator. Now bummed that I could have bought the 100 amp listed for the late 99’s.
wonder why they even offer the 80 amp?
Got that ****er out. Had to use the 1/2 breaker bar to get it past the snug spot. Is there anything I should do when screwing in the plug?
Run a tap through the hole?
Was going to swap the plugs and coils and they all came out pretty easily.
Now working on the drivers side up against the fire wall and I can’t get it to come out. It started and I’ve got a few revolutions on it but now it’s stuck. Can’t tighten it or loosen it.

So after repacking both bearings and replacing the hub flanges I can say the truck seems way more solid but one thing I do notice is it seems there is more friction in the drivetrain and the truck seems way slower. Not sure if I’m working through all that new grease or if it’s spline bearings...
