    Left hand drive markets/countries??

I live in Nicaragua- have a LJ79. Maintenance culture CAN be a factor- but it isn't a huge one. Here the locals view Land Cruisers like it's their dream vehicle, a lot maintain them very well- even spending a lot on accessories. 95% of them are diesel, 70 series come in 3B, 1PZ, 2LT, and 3L...

...ok I'm going to youtube that...thanks! ...my truck site almost dead level-even with the bulbar that is in front. it has brand new Toyota shocks so I was going to keep them for now... ...I'm going to have to figure out a similar spacer for the back...all I need around here is 1-2 inches...

hey 2 more noob questions: 1.I understand the spacer setup fro the front springs to lift it abit- what do you do for the back suspension? 2.what's the reason for the oil dump blue line thingy :) that was one of your first mods? thanks!

thanks for the pic on spacer front springs Jarrat. I'll look at the back and see what I need to do there as well... so many machine shops here should be fairly stress free getting it made up... thanks again

Sorry I may have misquoted you above...I was referring to the spacers for the springs...what they looked like... did they come with the springs, or separately? Your rig look sweet now. mine needs a few inches still- the terrain around here far from level... Nicaragua LJ78 by nica walker...

First off, thanks for these great posts, helpful! Being that I'm in a third world country here, I don't really have easy access to many third party parts...which spacers are these? If I can get the dimensions/specs I'm could get them machined here easily I'm sure (front/back) I'm also...

Louder Diesel Knock upon Injector Swap

I downloaded the manual- will this work for my 3L? I'm coming across a few little things that are slightly different- perhaps I can follow the principles of the manual but not all the specs...it's kinda crazy in Central America they fix everything by welding

    rear right drum self-braking?

Ok, so it turns out to be simple maintenance I guess was the prob. After complete disassembly/cleaning/reassembly and adjusting the emergency brake(cable stretched? it adjusted to it's limit) everything works fine, I guess most simplest/overlooked thing for me. I've only had it a few...

    rear right drum self-braking?

ok freezing not a prob here haha, but I think it moves pretty freely- I'll pay some attention to that...brake cleaner spray not accesible here... ahh yes now I know that of course thanks! I'll look at that more closely as well I'm assuming by star wheel assembly you are referring to the part...

Louder Diesel Knock upon Injector Swap

ok thank you very much! I am going to search for this manual, I assume it's possible to find it online... and next year when I'm up north to visit I'll try to find a pop tester to bring down...chances are I will achieve having the only one in the country haha *(edit) ok I found the manual for...

    rear right drum self-braking?

good suggestions guys, thanks I appreciate it. I'm taking it upon myself now to learn these things, being that I'm now in the mountains-in a third world country-where not many know what they are doing either :) so that being said, here's some more super noob questions ...what is the "wheel...

    Registry Global 70-series Registry

They're all so nice, I didn't want to post mine... '93 LJ78 stock with power group (big woop) A little smoky, a little dinged, missing the odd interior part. No rust.

    rear right drum self-braking?

I tried to search something like this on the forum to avoid clutter couldn't find anything. The right rear drum brake on my LJ78 keeps slowly braking on its own, say over a period of 2-3hours of driving, until its gets almost locked. At first I backed it off a bit, but it keeps repeating the...

Louder Diesel Knock upon Injector Swap

I'm assuming that your lj78 has a 3L? That's what they have here in Nicaragua ... you said no smoke, here that would be an accomplishment, did you tune/adjust them yourself? I'd like to know how to do that...

what model 70 series is this?

I just learned that it has a 3L diesel- does that sound right? They are all over the country...the interior is almost identical to the 75 series ambulance/troopy...I am trying to find reviews/more info...thanks again

'87 HJ75 stock wheel size and recommended tires

Also I've been searching on Mud here and I can't determine whether the rims for an '87 HJ75 are 5 or 6 bolts, I see both. This is a truck i see for sake here. And then what is a good size to wrap the rims in? I'm in Nicaragua in the mountains but will use on hwy as well. Thanks!

    In Nicaragua

Another thing: I'm more familiar with 60 series, which did not have these levers for "locking". Literally what purpose do they serve? Why would you want to lock the back or front independently versus locking all 4? (As the above photo demonstrates with the levers shown) I know these questions...

    In Nicaragua

To reply to someone's suggestion of a 40, the ones I've seen are extremely tired, plus it's stinkin hot here and you can't really open up many windows for air flow. And Ticoman we actually looked at that one you posted, the interior is absolutely destroyed and you can't open the windows, and...
