Sorry for the ignorance, does that require the key specific for the vehicle? Any Yota key, or just push it with something?
I have transporter showing up Sunday and want to be prepared.
Thanks
Todd
Hi Guys, haven't been on here in years, just bought a 100 series project. It's arriving tomorrow on a trailer with no key and probably the shifter in park. Is there a way to move the shifter without it?
Thanks in advance
Todd
I hope this is okay to post, haven't been on the board for awhile.
Some domestic issues are forcing me to suddenly sell my wife's 2002 FJ100 with 90k miles, navigation, BFG AT/KOs (5) with about 10k miles on them and in generally good condition. Has some dings and scratches on it and the...
Anyone out there tried fitting a 285/75 in their spare compartment underneath? My new truck is missing the tire winch rod and the one from our LC doesn't fit, the LX has a "keyed" fitting in it.
So I wasn't able to test if it will fit, but on the LC we have, with a 265/70, it barely fits up...
My understanding, at least from use on 4wd tractors, is that if tires rotate at different rates, due to different circumfrences, that it can stress the gears, diffs and such.
I just picked up a 98 LX470 about 600 miles from home last Tuesday. Three different brands of tires and one was a...
Alright guys, thanks for your suggestions/experiences with the LC vs. LX suspension systems.
I bought a 98 LX470 today, picking it up 4 states away, tomorrow morning.
It has some POS tires on it and, well, I'm a tire freak, and will likely buy new tires even on the way home.
Given the...
I'm getting ready to buy one or the other and trying to decide if the LX is worth the price difference. I don't care about the stereo, nicer leather or other trinkits, but I'm interested in the Ride height control and torsion front suspension.
I plan to use as my DD, but I haul a lot of...
I actually was able to afford a few gallons, but it's not getting from the tank to the carb. My 1980 FJ40 sat all winter and now I can't get gas to flow. I can start it by priming the carb with some gas, but it's just not pulling it up from the tank to keep it running.
Do fuel pumps go bad...
I recently started a business and business is good, too good to play with my project. In case some of you recognize my user account, you'll know I've been through a few dozen cruisers and have never had an unhappy customer. This one is destined to be a $40-50k truck!!!
I bought this truck...
Dont know if anyone would be interested in this, but the military is selling off a few hundred xfer cases from HMMWVs.
If you go to govliquidation.com and look under parts, you should find them. There's probably a link on the homepage. The auction ends Friday.
They are selling them in...
Clutch problem solved, bad Master Cylinder
ALso, let the engine run out at fast idle for about 15 minutes, seems to have cleared out, I hope so at least. The "soot" that came out was both clear and black, kind of like oil in gasoline. It smells like gas too.
I'm going to do a full tuneup...
