My original plan was to try to maximize MPG, but now I'm thinking I might like more power instead. Not sure if it's possible to have both, but it seems some of the guys with the 6L swaps aren't doing too bad. I just keep thinking about how heavy these rigs are...

I bought an LM7 for the swap, but it's been so long since I've had a chance to work on it that I'm now considering a 6.0 or possibly a GM Performance LS crate engine.
This is why I'm leaning toward these as well. I'll be ordering as soon as Selkirk fixes their website (charging tax for OR resident) or answers the phone.
It's still available, but with my current schedule I have no idea when I'd have time to get it packaged for shipping. For now I'd say it has to be a local sale.
Small update but it feels like a huge milestone for me, got the front axle reassembled and it's back on all four tires. Still have to do all the brake work and some other stuff, so I'll be pulling them back off, but it sure felt good 😁
