    The white lettering just is just stained. CV's were leaking on that area until I replaced them a few months ago. I couldn't find any hotspots where they could have been rubbing, and haven't heard the tires rub since I put on the lift. Truck is still available for the moment.

    Thanks for the compliments. She's been a great truck so far. I forgot to mention that the front axle was rebuilt/replaced around 300 miles ago while I was trying to figure out the rubbing noise mentioned in the original post. Also, She has never leaked any fluids on my driveway.
