I regret trading off my 74 FJ40.... So I'm trying to see if there are any 75 or older FJ's out there that would want to trade for my 1968 Ford Cortina turbo. It's insured to $19K and is the rarest ride at any car meet/show. Extremely fun to drive, but I want to be back in an FJ40. I'm in San...
@SuperBuickGuy Rough!! Well thankfully I've got Guppie close to me in SD. He's gonna help my FJ40 this weekend and hopefully get most of the braking issues squared away. I'm converting to disc brakes eventually, money is a little tight right now!
@darwink1 Yeah! when the time came to let go of the Bronco I got nervous, but when I loaded the FJ40 up on the flatbed.... Man the feeling was greater than when I picked up that Bronco.
@jonnyquest thanks! Mechanic looked at it today and was stoked, but he did find that the front suspension needs a lot of attention as well the master cylinder. So hopefully. I can get that taken care of soon.
Thanks guys, the brakes are definitely first priority! Gonna contact 1973Guppie soon, he lives in Carlsbad so i've gotta get used to driving this FJ40 before i'm comfortable visiting him up there. @Garth here's a few of my 67 Bronco I traded away. It was crazy because the guy I traded with was...
I posted a week or two ago that I was trying to trade my Early Bronco for an FJ40. Well finally pulled a trade off and got my first FJ40. I'm happy with it, but it does need some attention. Not used to not having power steering/brakes. The brakes need to be bled pretty bad, but it stops well...
Hi trading my vehicle for my first possible FJ40. I don't want to drive up 90 miles and drive the FJ back. Wondering if any SoCal people know of a dirt cheap tow company. Or locals willing to help a FJ newbie out? I have to tow my vehicle from SD to Moreno Valley, then the FJ from there to SD...
I appreciate your guys input. Yeah that first posting was supposedly thrown up by his nephew trying to help him sell his FJ40 and the grammar is horrible. He's actually texting me images as I type. I'm just starting out so I figured I would at least try to see if anyone was up for a trade, only...
Hey guys,
I posted in the 40 classifieds about trading my 67 Ford Bronco for a pre 75 FJ40 (CA smog). A guy in LA with two FJ40's responded he'd like to do a trade, but I'm not sure if it's an even deal. Just seeing if any gurus out there could check his postings out and give me some feedback...
I told myself I would never do this.. But before I bought my 67 Ford Bronco 2 years ago I had a 71 FJ40 pending from a seller. I seriously thought I had it. Long story short.... I was in the market for an Early Bronco or an FJ40... The Bronco came through while the FJ didn't.... Fast forward to...
I don't come on here anymore because I ended up with a 67 Bronco instead of the 71 FJ I almost got, but damn if you were closer to Cali i'd try to sell my Bronco and pick your rig up
