My hj61 with 700,000km on it has average steering too.. check the uni joints on the steering column before the steering box. Thats where the play in mine is. Could always tighten the box up a bit too, big nut on top of the steering box
All good i figured it out. Now i know nothing about boxes but it goes in a detent in what i would call the meat in the sandwich of the box and t case casings to grab the gear on the back of the box. Happy days!! Sorry for my descriptions
Guys i have pulled the box and am into swapping t cases but iv found this ball bearing on the table and i have no idea where its come from! Please help
My box has recently shat itself and i have found a complete raplacement but its out of an earlier model 60 with manual t case shift. Will the vac mechanism from my 89 bolt onto the manual t case? Or do i have to swap the whole t case?? Cheers
Would that be considered a pretty good setup for the 12ht? Edit. The reason im asking so many q's is im seriously considering pulling the trigger on a mamba turbo. Possibly the tdo5 one. Any info pls
