Sorry no pics up yet. We are on dial up out in the sticks and tether through the cell phones, but posting pics gets expensive. It is the 62 body style, with square lights. I plan on getting the bumper out of the way. I kind of doubt the axle is bent, wouldn't that need to be run over with a...
Always loved the 40's, should never have sold mine out west!!!! wondering if it is moderately easy to take the guts, motor 2H, H55 tranny, cable locked axles and bolt them into a LHD 40 series. What major issues will I hit? what will fit, what won't fit? If I have moderate wrenching...
See this is why i love mud. I am re-thinking things and may be able to keep it parked and work on it slowly... besides my 2 year old is pretty awesome with his toy hammer and keeps saying he is going to fix it for me. Ok so what about buying new or gently used body panels. Since it is an 89 hj60...
Guess I forgot to mention it is a 1989. Which means cannot be easily flipped to the US. But wondering about the engine and other majr parts. Could a US resident with a FJ62 swap in the engine, tranny, axles etc... and not run into the import issues. From what I understand the engine etc... is...
Thanks for the suggestions. If this had happened 5 years ago I wouldn't have even thought twice about. I would have it fixed up in no time. However with two kids and it being my daily driver I barely have time to wipe my ... unmentionables let alone spend countless hours beating out panels. I...
So I had an accident which ended with the front end of my truck against a tree. The ARB bar took the brunt of it but the front left fender area, hood and rad are likely done. I have been disavowed by the insurance company and so I am on my own. Sadly I think its time for a new project. Can't...

yes it was in 87 when the 2h was done in Canada. I have emailed rockymtn cruiser parts, and 4wheel auto for some help and guidance. My only concern is that after the 87's they changed some stuff like headlights, dash etc... so what are the odds the clutch/tranny combo changed?
I have had good luck getting parts for the truck from the dealerships so far, I just don't know if there were any significant changes from the 1987 in Canada to the 1989 from Japan. Most of the places I have searched for parts have 1987 as the cut off for parts on the HJ's. I just need to verify...
Hey guys. Hoping someone might have some insight into whether or not a 1989 JDM HJ60 with 5 speed transmission behind a 2H will have the same clutch parts as a NA spec 60? I am hoping it might be the same as an 87 with the 2H but I know that the 87 is the older style 60 where as the 89 JDM I...
Just wanted to finally intro myself and new rig to the 60's club. I used to own a 40, but sold it when the new addition to the family arrived and couldn't find any supporting literature for putting a car seat in the rear jump seats. So the HJ60 was purchased. Bought through Outback imports (Have...
Not sure if you have rented before in CR. Just becareful as they can be tough on rentals, scratches dents etc...They can get ya. That being said every time we go, I drool over these vehicles. Have a great time especially if you are going during the rainy season.

Trying to get a hold of a full electronic copy of the FSM for a 1989 HJ60 JDM. In english. Have searched a bit but no luck. Hope this is the place to ask, or perhaps the 60 Forum? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Anyone ever used Grizzly Grip truck bed liner, as opposed to Herculiner or dura-bak? Trick is, here in Canada can't get Dura-bak into the country. Herculiner doesn't seem to have the UV resistance and chatted with some of the tech guys at grizzly grip. Seems pretty good. Any advice?

Hey just wondering how you are liking the PZJ? I have tried doing a bit of research on the engine and truck but doesn't seem to be much out there. I read somewhere that they only made the PZJ engine for a few (maybe 5) years, is that correct? Otherwise I suppose the truck is similar to other...
LAVA, not to steal Wayne's thunder here but he has an HZJ73 listed on his site which, by the photos, looks amazing... Not to mention its coming from one of the best in the business, you know the trucks tops... Just my .02 cents... and no affiliation with Wayne, just want to buy one of his trucks...
Just curious what it would be if you had a budget of +/- $30,000 and looking at a $32,000 vehicle then? Certainly not a tire kicker at that point?
Wayne I understand that you take great pride in supplying the right vehicles for the right customers and I can't possibly realize how many "tire...
Wayne let me know if you would like some help with the cards I am in Calgary and have some experience with design, and have some connections with printers through the company I work in. Might get a better deal?
