Belts
I have a Saginaw set-up on my 1977 Fj-40 with ps pump and air pump. Before I had a just the ps pump. Now I am trying to configure the belts the way PabloCruise has them in this picture. Will this work for my set-up and if so anyone now the length of these belts?
So I just talked to a guy at Spectre and he said this air pump didin't come with a pulley and that it would be near impossible to find. He did not have a very convincing argument but wanted to know your thoughts.
I need help installing my Air Pump as well as finding a pulley that fits my air pump. I do not understand where I am suppose to screw in the air pump or if it is just held by the rubber piping. Here are some pictures. Also if I have an air pump and a power steering pump does that mean I need...
Why is it that I can find smog pumps/air pimps from 70 bucks new up to 300 bucks. This price difference is making me think there may be different qualities or perhaps a different part altogether.
I found a guy on LCML that s willing to part with some of his emissions components but I need to send him pics of what they look like. Could you take pictures of any of these components? I will be looking on the internet for them as well.

These are the best photos I have now. If you can work with these great, if not I'll post more thursday. As you can see the distributor has a red cap. Thanks a lot subzail.
Yea Fast Eddy is right in the emissions manual it says all FED and CA engines need the HAI System. I am curious as to where this computer would be? I know in a picture of the VSV's on SOR it shows a harness coming off, I suppose that harness leads to the computer?
So you think I should...
What do you recommend for someone who is on a budget. Take out the power steering or purchase the mounting bracket. Which procedure is easier? You know I'm about to go buy the necessary parts to rebuild this emissions system but I feel it would be a lot easier if I had part numbers. Do you...
Notice in the carb picture how the TP Diaphragm has a hose going directly to the intake manifold. I believe there needs to be a VSV (TP and EvAP) between the tp Diaphragm and intake manifold. Do you concur?
Wow, thank you that helped out tremendously. The SOR carb looks very similar. I notice my carb has no wiring harness nor does it have those 2 copper candy cane looking pieces hanging off the side of the air horn.
Alright work week is done so I'm back for the next couple days. So I saw a 6 and an I on each of the oval jet housings that lie across the sight glass. There was no XX or 10 but there were two numbers on the top side of the jet housings that looked like someone hand carved them in. As far as...
Here Are some pictures of my carburetor on a 0ct 1976 built FJ40 for 1977 and an engine serial number of 2F 120142 . I could not find the serial number. If you could point out where it may be on the picture that would be helpful.
I will be taking pictures of the carburetor tomorrow, any tips on where to look in order to identify the carb I have. Why would there be a different carb on the same year 2F Engine? It seems all carbs would be identical for the same year and same engine.
