I can turn the ignition off and remove my key without the vehicle being in park. i.e., still in "drive" but engine off and vehicle stopped. This started when I took the vehicle in to a dealer to be repaired for ignition key failure.
The dealer repaired all ignition key problems but never...
I hate to do this without an exhaustive search, but it is so very easy to just sling a question up. (Forgive me Woody).
OK, all lights returned after being off for a week when I filled the fuel tank.
Is my gas cap fubar?
PS: Also tip your bartenders and anti up for Silver Star status!
I had a dealer repair my ignition switch ( a few years ago). The result of the repair was that the ignition key can be removed prior to placing the gear shift in park.
I had always intended to take the vehicle back in and get the dealer to correct the mistake, but I did not do it.

As vehicles age and the newest 100's are essentially 10 plus years old: What is the current "best age/mileage" of a vehicle? Assuming good maintenance etc of course.
125,000 miles on low end to 200,000 miles on upper end?
OR: Is my question just silly?
I'm looking at 2013's.
Found a dozen or so 2012 to 2014's within 200 miles of Charlotte NC.
Avg Price = $25,000
Avg Miles = 90,000 miles

(Yes I already searched).
Any thoughts?
Sorry for this boring topic. But there are just too many identical "boring" posts to effectively search them. So here is one more, dammit.
I have a free shot at some Michelin tires won in a Michelin raffle thing.
These are for my 2003 stock LC.
What size should I drift up to while remaining...
Hmmm, how to keep this tech related....
Ok, I have a '96 80 with 318k miles. I cannot part with it unless I find a 40 series that runs and does not need a lot of work to be rd/trail worthy, i.e. drivable....
The 80 is worth maybe $2-3,000 due to radiator gunk issues (there that is tech), and...

For those who have actually removed them.....what kind of trim is left under the wheel well? I pulled one off for my antenna repair today.
If I left it off, then it looks like it would be a bit ragged where the fender well is.....
