The door "keeper" or whatever you call that piece that keeps the door from opening up too far, began to crack and finally broke off. Not sure how to fix it. Think it could be welded? Or should I be looking for a new door? Thanks
Thanks, We are liking Kenya very much! I'm working on my residence papers, then the parks will be much cheaper. Thanks for the offer to go wheeling.
The Defender is very heavy duty, but the thing is a rattle trap!! I'm used to my quite 100 series ;)
In Kenya w/o my cruiser :(
I'm enjoying reading about your Kenyan adventures. I'm in Karen for a year and my LC in home in CA. Thought about shipping it over but a little too expensive. I can't believe how many "built" LC there are here!! I am able to use an old Defender while I'm here...
Came across some batteries that seem fairly new, but don't think they are deep cycle. I think they were used as computer backup or from a solar system. Does anyone know if I could hook them up parallel and use them to run 12v items on my trailer (fridge, lights)? They are 75Ah. Don't know if...
If you are going to grind down your counters to show some of the aggregate, you should wait until day four. I usually will go up to 600 grit on day four and then wait until day 10 to do any polishing. The concrete won't be hard enough to polish if you do it too early.
I've done a dozen or so kitchens and many more vanities. You can either pour in place or pre-cast (concreteexchange.com). Either way, I would practice on something smaller before doing a kitchen. Can't tell you how many concrete coffee tables I've made over the years as practice!
I was in Death Valley last week on a 7 day trip and on day 4 all four leaves of my trailer springs broke in half. They broke right in the middle where that center bolt goes through. I didn't loose the axle, but the trailer almost tipped over and it bent my hitch a little. I was able to find a...
We've been using the Eezi Awn 2200 for a couple years now and love it. Me, my wife and 3 kids. Lots of room inside. Might be a little heavy for roof mount, but works great on a trailer.

I've been using the DeWalt 18v impact driver almost daily for about 6 months and love it! It will drive 3" deck screws all day long with ease. What did C.R. say about the DeWalt?
We leave in half of the 3rd row so my daughter can be further away from her two younger brothers. Also, it allows us to access the frig for snacks and drinks without having anyone remove their seat belts.
Need a little help here. I have one head light that won't work. I've changed bulbs (twice), and I've changed the fuses. What do I need to check next? I noticed the light was out during a trip to Death Valley. Not sure if all the washboard had something to do with it or not. I'm just hoping...
Have you played with the fader? I found on mine that if I just fade a little extra sound to the back and put my base on 0 it doesn't sound that bade. Might not be the best fix, but will be the cheapest.
