16”s over 18”s?
Chromies over something else?
Always comes down to what your intended use.
I sold my 100. It came with chromies. Eventually I found stock non chrome 16s. 285s KO2s. Done.
21 years. Haha.
I get it. My wife gets it, too. We know it’s not a must at the moment. We just want to get stuff done. She’s cool about it. She’s not demanding. But is it worth it at a cost of a cruiser???? We can save and do the work in about 6 months. But yes Brent. A happy wife is a happy...
Haha. I just washed the Monk Cruiser for the first time in like 8-9 years. It’s been covered for so long. I drive it around the block and my son is like.....”hey don’t drive my truck.”
I feel like it will be much easier to find a 100 series later, but much more difficult to find a white locked...
Fellas. I’ve recently moved, San Juan Cap. to Dana Point, and of course our new home needs improvement. One way to make that improvement quickly is to sell one of my cruisers. I’ve recently reached out to another member that is interested in my 100 series. I feel like I can let go of the 100...
Well this sux. I’m contemplating selling my LX. Hey fellas. I am asking for your opinion on a fair price. Miles are 107k. I bought it two plus years ago with 94k mikes. I am 3rd owner. I believe timing belt and water pump are original. Vehicle is clean inside and out. No leaks whatsoever. AHC...
There was another thread that mentioned that braking scenario you are describing. Other owners mentioned driving at high speeds and having their truck fishtail when this happened.
Finding a used Maggiolina can be difficult. I rarely see them up for sale used. I was able to find mine here in SoCal for $1500 on Craigslist. When I saw what the price was for a new Maggiolina I hopped on my cruiser and drove to Oxnard quick. It’s def an older model, but all the pillows and...
From what I’ve gathered on 80s tech, 100 series, and personal experience it seems to be a standard experience with the canister while driving in warm temp weather and a increase/decrease in elevation.
I drove from sea level to about 5500ft elevation to our local mountains and the drive took...
Correct for ‘98 and ‘99 Land Cruiser model years. Lexus came equipped with limited slip differential (LSD).
^ nice pic @Drogon. Looks like that Smoky Topaz Mica was also available for 2000 LX.
From my experience and pics I’ve seen it’s the Smoky Topaz Mica color. I believe that particular color was on the ‘98 and ‘99 year model. I don’t care about the paint so much. I’m more concerned about the truck being mechanically sound, but it does suck. One pic I saw on a Craigslist Ad the...
It’s the $!?t!
Only flaw from my experience with the same model: that paint will oxidize faster than the other models. It’s been covered here on Mud. Sux.
^2x
I hear ya Noah.
I’ve met a few SD folks. It seems like you guys are a bit more active as a group on and off the trails. It would be great to meet more of you guys in the garage too.
I always wish that I had the space, the tools, and most importantly the knowledge to host such an event. If I hosted such an event my thought would be to call out a specific task, let’s say front brakes or changing the coolant, and that way all that came over would have the same task and end...
