I did the Start-X kit, bought on Amazon. Super easy install and works exactly like the factory option. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083CP8514/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
FWIW: I built and installed my Orion, with AA twin stick almost a year ago now. Right from the start it was popping out of HI and LO under deceleration. Clearanced the tunnel cowl and went back to the stock detent spring bolt/grub screw with a little more tension and that helped but didn't solve...
Bought mine for a 94-97 Land Rover Defender 90 and Its big enough to accommodate the spare tire carrier, front winch bumper and 4" lift. Bought it on Amazon . I've had it for a little over a year now and its holding up great.
I don't trust the OEM temp and oil pressure gauges, nor do I use the radio slot. So I cut the radio slot to a single DIN style and designed/printed this plate to use the Auto Meter 2392 gauge set. The gauges are angled toward the driver for ease of viewing. Mounts with M6 bolts and Its held in...
My ignition key is the original with code stamp and now is matched to doors and fuel door. My rear ambo door is the one sided key, which I dont have so with what I saved today by playing backyard locksmith I'll spend the $30 to buy a new rear door lock w/ key and only have 2 keys on my ring.
Then wrapped e-tape around it to hold it together and brought it back to the vice.
Then used a small hammer to start tapping the ring back around the rear of the lock and a flat head to smooth the rest down.
Then install the rear spring...
Got tired of having 4 keys (one for ignition, one for door locks, one for fuel door, one for ambo door). So I chose the ignition key as my primary and yanked the other locks to see about pulling them apart and make them do my bidding.
Get the lock out, remove the E-clip and spring off the back...
Quick cheap and easy fix for mine was to loosen the 2 screws then dribble a little bit of CA glue (super glue) down through the gap then continue to rotate the mirror for a minute while the glue sets up. If you keep it moving a little, it wont stick in place but it will fill the gap. Then...
I'm running a 01 Taco w/ 2nd gen TRD SC and URD FTC setup. My old laptop died and the company that built the interface I have is out of business. I need a copy of the OBDII interface software for the BR3 used in tuning.
Pull the inside panel and hose the mechanism with dry silicone spray. Mine locks and un-locks with the key but the button doesnt move up or down when doing this. There are 2 seperate locking mechanisms. When moving the button up and down to manualy actuate I notice one of the press rivets that...
No stranger to Toyota but this is my first TLC (88' FJ66) and at 200k miles, as expected, the wear shows in small places. The auto trans shifter had alot of slop, enough you could rotate it about 5 degrees and it bugged me. Pulled it apart and noticed the remains of what looked like a green...
I hear , ya, only problem is: time is money, the amount of time spend doing either of those is the amount of money I'd spend on the whole assembly. The bolt is a quickie, just would rather be able to find the threaded block rather than fab or fix.
My other Toy:
