Decals like this are very common in the middle east. The dealerships actually order their own custom versions of things like decals, entertainment systems and are through authorized 3rd party companies like NSV.
It is being less common now as the fade is to go with solid colors, but yrs ago...
Thats LC200 is from Qatar - That logo on the tail gate under the VX.R is for Al Abdulghani Motors.
There is a small loophole with the VXR with the 5.7 since its basically the same spec as the US one it makes it alot easier to import. Its the 4.0L, 4.6L and the 4.5D that is much harder.
With...
I heard there are still a few 90 series in a scarp yard in the Al Dhaid area. When I get back home to Ras Al Khamiah on the 9th Im going to do a drive out that way. I have the bench front seat but I am going to see if i can find the bucket seats cause I really want a center console and cup...
Hi John, do you still have the extended versions? I got the 95 up in RAK im planning to strip down and have repainted the original crocodile green but the driver side rear side bumper ext has a deep scratch in it.
Hey John, Im still in Canada for work till Dec 9 but do you think the place you got the AC control had more? Mine the temp and the ac button is stuck (thank got its stuck on and at max cold)
Honestly I'm not sure both rows and the two side benches have the same upholstery. Its an original RAK Prado. There is a small hole in the mid row seat and was thinking of removing on of the benches in the back and using that fabric to repair it. There are some parts of the paint where it...
Well I have been a member of h8mud for many many yrs. Back in the USA I own a 3rd Gen 4runner and miss it. Yesterday I was driving my my modified TJ Wrangler and it started to over heat (I got a 2004 TJ Sport highly modified and a 2002 Sahara that i restored back to stock) well I snapped and...
ARB might soon, I supplied them with a 3D scan of the LC300 and they now have that on the market, I about to send them and a few other companies the front 3D scan of the LX600 now.
There already the LC300 bumpers showing up in AUS and MENA but most are for the 4.0L engine and not the 3.5
But those are also the 4.0L V6 versions and not the 3.5L TT, so they are able to reduce the front bumper by alot, the 3.5TT has those two intercoolers mounted sooooo low down its hard to make a better approach angle. I'm currently working on a kit to relocated them much high on some of my...
I might have gone a little overboard, but installed a retractable mount and bearing. Has the bracket mount for the M240 and M249 and has an adapter for a M2 if you replace the barrel with the shorter one. :) And some customer molle panels on the quarter panel glass.
That is an old old bolt on solution. They were common on 80 and 100 series but do not offer proper protection. These bolt on kits are really dangerous when it comes to IED's
Come to Africa and Al Awear in UAE and you can find armored TLC/Hilux on the car lots :) I am sorta surprised I have never actually seen one of their vehicles in person though.
I can no promise 100% as I dont know what the shipping cost will be. But I plan to fly back to Dubai next month where I have about 15 of the NSV systems. When I get there I'll try and take 1 down to FedEx and see what shipping cost would be to the USA.
Right now I'm in the USA, I will send an email back to the office in Dubai and get the weights for you. The tires were normally TOYO E-load with a load index of 123 or higher. The wheels I had 3 options, OEM steel wheel the cheapest but easy to get replacements ($200 each). Steel wheel from...
Well coming from the armored car world, I have made FB7/BR7 TLC and LX570 a number of times. After the 10 mm ballistic steel and the 70+mm glass they are at 4800 KG curb weight. The suspension and wheels have to be upgraded and recommended to change the brakes. But since 2008 havent had any...
Long story short the alloy wheels do not do so well with the weight, and its better to have more rubber then wheel. After armoring to a FB6 we are around 4900kg and on the FB7 we are closer to 5500kg in curb weight so wheel/tire combo is very important.
For armored vehicles we normally...
