hello all,
i've got a 1986 FJ60 that is in dire need of a paint job, (serious oxidation,) along with some minor body work. rust isn't an issue but there are a few dings and dents that i'd like to take care of as well.
are there any cruiser owners in and or around the san francisco bay...

the sight is a bit hard to navigate but if you hunt around, you'll find some cool pictures and commentary from a couple who aren't afraid to use their cruiser.
My silver FJ60 is need of paint; it could also use a few door dings and dents pulled out as well. Rust isn't an issue but paint oxidation is. I live in San Jose CA and it seems as if there are body shops everywhere; how does one choose? So before hitting the pavement and personally inspecting...

It's time to replace all of the vacuum hoses on my '86 FJ60. Does anybody know how many feet (approximately) I need to buy to complete the job? I think the two sizes I need are 3.0 and 5.5mm ID but I really have no idea how much to buy. I'd hate to get 9/10ths of the way done...
so I just checked the levels on the TC and gearbox and of course the gearbox was way overfilled, and the transfer underfilled. i have not yet drained them for i'm waiting for my drainback kit. don't know how long transfer was running with next to no fluid.
my question is what type gear oil...
