Not mine - planning to look at it tomorrow as a project for my teen and (maybe?) electric conversion. Seller was originally planning on a frame-up restoration and wrap for a local ski shop but ran out of time.
Anyone see warning signs or things to look for here? Is the price reasonable if the...
Sweet!
Thanks for all the tips on the manuals.
You all rock -- now there just needs to be a Land Cruiser podcast as good as White Roof Radio (whiteroofradio.com) for the MINI!
Hi all --
So I actually got my 1998 LC back at the beginning of February, been lurking on this forum since December seeing what it would take to find a mint 100-series that I could actually afford. Finally found one up in Portland OR thanks to one of the forum members here and had the...
How about Line-a-trunk?
Thanks -- I looked at the Husky liners and might get one, but it won't protect the sides or the seat backs -- and I know that a bunch of the cruisers I looked at had damage to the 2nd row seat backs and cargo area sides...
Looks like there's another one out there...
I'm looking at keeping the dog hair & off-roading mud from my border collie off the rear cargo area, so looking for a fabric liner that would cover the sides, cargo floor, and back of the 2nd row seats.
The "Hatchbag" listed as the 2nd option on this page looks like a good option to me...
Karma payback - Carfaxes available
Hi All --
I have 3 carfax requests left from my last 5-pack. And looking to "pay it forward" from the ones that Craabs did for me.
PM me with VIN number & your email address, and I can cut you a PDF.

Portland OR - 1998 Landcruiser
Hi All --
My fourth LC try now -- thanks to Craabs for the link -- flying out to Portland OR tomorrow 1/30 to take a look at this near-perfect-looking '98. Sounds like it was purchased by a serious enthusiast last year to build as a rig, he really wanted a '97...
Thanks, all. One of these days soon, I've gotta take a drive down to Golden to meet that Christo guy. Happy I live so close (but maybe my wallet won't be with all the fun toys he sells).

So I've driven one LC100 and one LX470 in the '99-00 vintage in the last week. I like them both, but it seemed like the seat was a bit more comfortable in the LX470 ;). That and the ride height adjustment that, frankly, makes me a bit nervous about repair/replace costs at this vintage.
What...
Looking again
So the 2000 LC that I found in Niwot CO on Craigslist went to the dealer today to get a used car inspection. They found about $4k worth of work that needed to be done, so I don't think I'm going to go for that. It looks to me like the dude bought the car (well-maintained) in...
FYI - I got an estimate from Boulder Toyota of about $900 to do Timing belt & water pump for the 2000 LC I was looking at. And the "big" service at 120k miles would be about $800 on top of that.
Thanks all --
The 2000 LC in Niwot looks like it is in good shape and definitely an Arizona car. HOWEVER, the owner does not recall getting a timing belt change or water pump on it. There was also a leak under the power steering reservoir which was drooling fluid from the top of the right...
Looking at 2000 LC tomorrow 1/13
Hi All -- I'm very new to this site, but have been dreaming about an LC for a long, long time. So far, I've decided on the FZJ100 range to fit my budget, somewhere between $11-14k. This would definitely be a second car for me and will look quite large parked...
